Many don't and many do, there's no stats. Certainly if you look at Thailand, while the SRS clinics are very busy, there are far more non-op/pre-op than post-op girls. Yes many do, if not in a male role then an ambiguous one. Most girls and tgirls in the sex industry in Thailand only work for a short amount of time before either meeting someone and getting out of the industry, or making enough money to move back to their provinces and start small business (shops, internet cafe, salon, etc.) You don't need much to start a business like that and as living expenses can be so low, they seem to make them work.
