Though I'm not naive, I tend to see things in a post-apocalyptic view where if 90% of humanity were dead (let's say nuclear war), the rest would have to pull together to survive. Would another person's skin color, religion, etc. really matter?
Anyway, thought I'd throw that in since this thread was bumped.
I guess for the same reasons that some black people think its okay to be racist........ignorance and fear

Not by much though. So I am a white girl, with baby blue eyes and creamy skin, I still get rejected and hated by most of the people I come into contact with. I am not saying this is not an important topic but I thought this was a transsexual site, so with the problems T-girls go through every day really what difference does color make?
Since this thread has been bumped AGAIN and doesn't seem to ever really go away, I'm going to take this opportunity to say that the wording of this thread title is really poorly thought out.
The criminals are the ones to which you yourself allude to in your own sentence; i.e. those who commit crimes against blacks. I'll quote you again:Quote:

My post was just a response to your diatribe. If you don't know what the words in your own post refer to, then why are you posting?Quote:
I dont protest or demand better rights.
The democrate primary shows that people are racist and sexist of course , So when most black democrats vote for obama over hillary is that ok ? , and Hispanic's vote for Hillary over Obama it's ok, and white women vote for Hillary over obama it's okay ! yet if you look white men voted Obama over Hillary which means white men are less racist or just more sexist then racist ! doesn't this all make perfect sense ?
It all depends on the reasons behind one's vote. If the women who feel like secondary citizens think Hillary will raise their status by either action or symbolism, then the motive behind their vote is not their own discrimination but the discrimination of others against them. There is a symmetrical case one can construct for blacks that support Obama. White men on the other hand have no recourse but to vote for a representative outside their demographic. Therefore it would be dubious to argue, based on their voting, that they have the high moral ground.
Trish ,
You seem to infer that it's ok to be racist and sexist if you are a women or a black person yet if are a white male it's not ok ! Double standard ?
Not at all.
It's only natural and logical to vote for somebody you believe will improve your position; especially if you perceive your position as that of a secondary citizen. I don't see that as racist or sexist. Just reasonable.Quote:

ok heres a topic "why do some black people think its ok to be racist" or "why do some arabs think its ok to be racist" why is it always white people that are said to be racist and if u complain some1 who isnt white is been racist your told to shut up. political correctness has gone mad coz of that power mad Blair (if he becomes president of europe we're all doomed)
Trish ,
So you approve of racism and sexist theory as long as you think your a minority ? you are really cutting a fine line here you know , it's a double standard either way , it's wrong !
I suppose at this point I should make clear that I myself voted for Obama in the democratic primary of my state. But for myself racial considerations were of relatively minor influence. I like him because I think he has shown himself to be a capable, clear-sighted statesmen of sound judgement, a moral compass and who knows how to listen. On the major issues: health care, the war in Iraq, the patriot act, the torture bill etc, I can support Obama or Hillary.
No again. Reread my post. I do not approve of racism or sexism under ANY circumstances. My standard is the same for all.Quote:

This is real simple:
It is never, ever OK to be racist - anyone, any time for any reason.
See, told you it was simple!
If you stop getting your "impressions of black america" from BET (which is owned by whites) and MTV videos then you might actually learn something. That would be like me watching Jerry Springer and the other lame daytime shows and saying that is what whites are all about.Quote:

As easy as it is for those of us who are white to look back and say, "That's a terrible statement," I grew up in a very segregated South, and I think that you have to cut some slack. And I'm going to be probably the only conservative in America who's going to say something like this, but I'm just telling you: We've got to cut some slack to people who grew up being called names, being told, "You have to sit in the balcony when you go to the movie. You have to go to the back door to go into the restaurant. And you can't sit out there with everyone else. There's a separate waiting room in the doctor's office. Here's where you sit on the bus." And you know what? Sometimes people do have a chip on their shoulder and resentment. And you have to just say, I probably would too. I probably would too. In fact, I may have had ... more of a chip on my shoulder had it been me.
