What me and others say is pretty much borderline the same, she knew what she was getting into thanks to the thugs image, even with these good guys you mention who don't say anything and keep their mouths shut (as all are suppose to right?) are available, why not go for that? I just found out they're giving her money. I never got money when I got bashed. Same kind of fracture to the eye socket & jaw too. Just because shes famous shes getting that. I never even had the final surgery I needed done so the screws & junk are still in my face... I had tons of sympathy for her before. But now it's like... Ok? Society cares about her but didn't about me? I dunno what to think right now. I'm trying not to be bitter... but 50k raised for her already. Jeez.

This is why we need single-payer health care.... Where everyone is covered, everyone is taken care of, whereby we care about one another.
That's what public health care is: I care about you, I care about Christy, I care about everyone.
Most doctors support this, most nurses, too.
Up in Canada doctors are private... but the insurer is the state. In Britain it's different. Doctors work for the state.
Probably Australia has the best possible system. Don't quote me on that -- ha ha! :)
Anyway, I think we should care about one another.
Plus it's far more efficient.
But public health care isn't seen as politically realistic. Meaning: big pharma and big insurance don't want it.
And corporations dictate public policy. They usually do win.

Horrible episode. No one ever deserves such treatment, especially from someone who had presented themself as someone that could be loved by the victim.

Very unfortunate. I hope Ms. Mack fully recovers (both physically and mentally) from all wounds inflicted and Mr. Machine gets what he deserves.

With that said, I won't lie, the image of Dog and War Machine riding in the back of a Ford Excursion while Dog gives him a cigarette and a comforting spiel about how he needs to go with Christ did make me chuckle a bit.

Also, as someone that is roughly equally as tatted as Ms. Mack, and even sports the same shaved-on-the-sides haircut, I think the girl is absolutely stunning.

Sorry about your final surgery but you sound like a jealous little kid,i think she is getting that because people feel bad for her not because she is famous,they are tons of people on crowd fund sites getting paid and they aren't famous.

Jaime, I think you missed the ball on this one a tad bit. War Machine is a repeat offender. There are stories about him assaulting former pornstar Alanah Rae at a pornstar's birthday party. Good guys don't blame the victims of violence, not even obliquely (regardless of his or her gender, sexuality, occupation, etc.)

As to the replies about don't blame the victim, I don't think that's exactly what's being said here. That implies the victim took an active part in bringing about the assault....a woman is raped....well, she shouldn't have been wearing such a short skirt.... she was askin for it (tho I think someone actually did say that) that's not what I'm saying.
To me, it's more like the poor folks who lose their homes to a volcano. It's a terrible tragedy but no one blames the people for causing the volcano to erupt. By the same token, you gotta ask well, gee, don't you think there might be a better place to build your house than on the side of an active volcano? It's sorta the same thing in this case. Here's a guy who makes his living by fighting and has his name legally changed to a moniker suggesting belligerence who had a history of violence and even did a couple years hard time for assault. So it's not so much that blame is being placed on her so much as well, couldn't she have thought , ya know, gee maybe it might not be such a good idea to hang out this close to that active volcano.
