It does seem that all too often we guys only think about getting a woman out of her clothes and into a bed somehow. It's even refreshing to me that someone was willing to just have a fun time outside and leave the idea of sex out of it.

I'm certainly not one to speak about relationships and dating, having crashed and burned so many times in my life that people have betting pools on my social encounters, but I've seen the hopes and dreams along the way, as well as the associated train wrecks.
I've knocked boots with more people (GG, TG, TV, TS, IS, GM, TM, ad infinitum) than most =meet= on social encounters in a =lifetime=, and it's both jaded me hopelessly as well as taught me things that work =for me= in my social encounters today.
While there is nothing wrong with sex on a first date (Lord knows, it has become a rule for me, as there is oft not a second date), there are times where sex becomes a secondary perk of an otherwise pleasant and upbeat day.
Oddly enough, one of my fondest memories is of a time I spent with a gurl where we had a fine commercial date first and then, out of the blue, retired to a sweet, relaxed, candle-lit dinner afterwards. In an inverse of the accepted rule, we had the true 'date' =after= the sex. I've yet to decide which half of the evening was the topper, as both were off the charts as far as pleasure was derived.
There are a number of gurls here on HA, the other forums, and elsewhere that I would genuinely like to spend time with "Off the clock", but it's tough when they so naturally have to keep their guard up against freeloaders, stalkers, cock-gobblers (Though I confess to being one, I try to at least be civil about it), and assholes.
Vanessa, like many of the Chicago gurls (Or so it seems), is a firebrand that takes shit from no-one, no-how. Yet she takes a moment out of her bizzy day (I'll be polite and won't suggest what 'bizzy' implies ;) ) to share a very nice, relaxed experience with our community and her fans.
