Just watched the end of Bowfinger. Awesome movie. I've seen it many times but its still insanely funny. One of Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy's best and probably most under appreciated films. Highly recommend it.
Watching " Cherry Falls " again. Great slasher film w/ a unique twist ... the killer only kills virgins. So the only safe thing to do is have a wild orgy and take yourself off the hunting list .... or was that the killers plan all along , to get all the virgins in one place? Watch the movie for yourself and find out , it gets the Rockabilly seal of approval. Starring Brittany Murphy , Jay Mohr , Gabriel Mann and Michael Biehn.
I watched Let the Right One In, again. I can't get enough of this film.
"Away We Go". Such a sweet movie. :)
Watched "Bruiser" , this is my fave George Romero film that doesn't involve Zombies. With the loss of your identity , your face ... what defines who you are , and what would you do if nobody could identify you? Answers ... your actions and revenge. Bruiser is great and the Misfits perform at the Halloween party at the films climax.
the man who wasn't there was an excellent film; of course, it is by the coen bros., so it's pretty hard to go wrong.Quote:

I saw Moon this weekend. It's great. Thoroughly recommend it.
Stars Sam Rockwell, who was in Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, and Kaya Scodelario who was Effy in Skins.

Moon
Rated PG
Review by David Stratton of The Movie Show
In MOON, Sam Bell, SAM ROCKWELL, has only two weeks left of a three-year stint overseeing the automated mining of HELIUM 3, a source of clean energy, from the far side of the Moon. He longs to see his wife and daughter again, but in the meantime is cared for by the over-protective computer, GERTY, voiced by Kevin Spacey.
One day there’s an accident, and Sam is confronted by another Sam…
Duncan Jones extraordinary feature film debut combines some of the themes of Kubrick’s 2001 with more modest experiments in sci-fi such as Douglas Trumbull’s SILENT RUNNING.
MOON is more interested in ideas than in special effects; in the not-too-distant future, will human beings retain their humanity? (It’s a message also explored, in an entirely different and less interesting way, in the recent Bruce Willis film, SURROGATES).
DUNCAN JONES, who happens to be the son of DAVID BOWIE, and screenwriter Nathan Parker, invest the film with a rich imagination and they’re very well served by the amazing SAM ROCKWELL who, in a tour de force performance, plays opposite himself for much of the running time.
This is science fiction at its stimulating best.
Bad Wives.
Seriously.
It's actually a porno with a plot...and it's NOT from the seventies!
gladiator... what an epic movie. blows me away every time.
