 Transex Domination :D
Thanks PK
Two foreign movies I've seen today and yesterday, with a common theme of someone moving to a new town and how it affects them.
L'Annulaire
Starring the gorgeous Olga Kurylenko and with some partial and full frontal nudity. Very creepy and moody as only the french can do them. Slow paced, but in an artistically deliberate way that relies more on the visual stimulus than dialogue or action. The ending leaves you wondering.
The Bothersome Man
A Norwegian film about a man who arrives on a bus in a city with no memory of how he got there. People around behave in strange ways. A mixture of horror and black humour. It left me thinking about consumerism and mediocrity. My favourite line from the movie is when Andreas asks a girl he has fallen in love with who she prefers.
Am I just cynical, or does this sum up man-woman relationships perfectly?
He: "Am I more important than Lars Birger and the others?"
She: "You're very nice."
He: "And the others?"
She: "They're very nice too."
He: "But who do you prefer?"
She: "I think everyone's nice...But it would be nice to move to something bigger. Three rooms and maybe a bathtub. I don't have a bathtub now, just a shower."
The look on his face says it all.
I just watched Inglorious bastards (original version), and i am looking forward to seeing the new version with Brad Pitt in it.
Pumpkin .
Great movie that shows sometimes you find love where you least expect it.
