You can blame Trump.
I detest trump but you can't pin this on him. Look at it this way:
Trump didn't campaign on having a bill like this and he's never tweeted about it, that I know of.
Actually, I think he missed a big opportunity to score brownie points by not leading the charge.
And Backpage is still up.

Grooby's business is making and selling porn. This site helps promote that, but made no money from the reviews board.

You have the same problem there as we do here.... do-gooders.
No one knows who they are, they appear to have a very LOUD voice within the administration they actually work for. More than likely in Trumps case, though I know that's hard to believe!
In the UK they are known as Senior Civil Servants, working within Government. They remain nameless to the most of us. A fucking good idea probably as some of them would of been took out by frustrated members of the public for a lot of their antics!

We are not an escort site or a sex workers site. We take no money for advertising escorting but as a minor part of this forum, we provide a platform for like minded people, to talk about something which is completely legal and to share information which ultimately provides more safety and understanding.
We're taking the step like many other companies and websites have, to remove anything pertaining to escorting, sex work or the promotion of it.
You can thank yourself - or your friends and politicians who voted in the current administration.
Since those forums have been taken down, is there a reason to save or archive them? My concern is, first a law is passed to take out the speech, then the enforcement asks website hosts to surrender the speech. If you haven't received any notice from LE to preserve those old forums in a manner that can be recalled for evidence or investigation, it may be a good idea to wipe them clean like Hillary's server.

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT : All Escort Channels have been removed.
As of now the Personals section is still up on BP. When that goes down so goes this hobby of ours.
I checked out Utopia Guide, Best Gfe and GFE Forum this morning and surprisingly not a word of commentary on what just happened. Not a post from the admin, not a topic by any members. Nothing.
Are they trying to wish it away?

Is BP US based? It is fairly active in trans community in UK.

We can simply build a decentralized application on top of it for advertising TS escort services and building a reviews forum etc. Users information will be kept 100% anonymous and private (except if you disclose on the forum of course.. like escorts advertising their name & phone number). It can be accessed from anywhere in world by anyone.. it can't be blocked!!
The underlying blockchain platform can even have its own fully anonymous cryptocurrency for payment of escort services, or for porn, or for whatever people want to use it for - maybe even for tipping other users for good reviews. It will be secure and 100% untraceable.
These bastards won't stop us. Stay tuned folks!

Why would someone use discord over slack?
a good a question here in the sense that Discord is not all that different from Slack ! They’re both chat and communication platforms, they have web, mobile and desktop interfaces, and are used by people for the intent of communicating via text, video or voice.
However, I think what really sets Discord out against Slack [and vice-a-versa] is its target audience. Slack was made to help teams (like businesses, developers, formal-types) chat and collaborate. Discord was made to help connect gamers, and has grown to help connect people that have an aligned common interest. So really, in a sense, it comes down to the core functionalities that are important to folks.
There are some other reasons I can think of that come to mind for why people would use Discord over Slack. The biggest one I can think of is the community itself . . . because of the way that Discord is set up, it’s easy to join ‘servers’ and navigate between them. Even now, I am a member of something to the effect of ten or so servers . . . it’s much more difficult to navigate between Slack rooms, and you sure as heck can’t add ‘friends’ on Slack or see what folks are playing or doing.
So, at the end of the day, Discord feels almost like a social network linked and banded together by communities. I like to describe it as a ‘real time reddit’ because of the way that you join many specific servers (subreddits) and join ongoing conversations (posts.) Slack is not like this a lot because it focuses on building a service that is curated for businesses and internal communications so in turn, Slack comes off more like a conference call or a corporate chat room.

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT : All Escort Channels have been removed.
The state of Delaware has been booting around a junior version of this bullshit (Both Carper and Coons voted for it, by the way) and it's turned the legal massage industry on its ear. The fine print allows 'deputization' to 'inspectors' allowing them all-access to any such business, whether office, commercial plaza, or home-based. No room in the business is exempt and operators must allow entry to the inspectors.
So, say some soccer mom is a legal therapist, sports massage, prescripted physical therapy, etc. and has a home office, zoning variance, license, medical insurance, performs proper intake (All those lovely forms you fill out at your doctor's office), insurance billing, etc. Mrs. Bitchyneighbor gets a bug up her ass about some bad flower arrangement along a shared drive, so she 'deputizes' herself and invites herself in. According to the law, as written, she cannot be denied entry. When she gets to little Janie's bedroom she finds the door is locked (Remember: Access must be granted to ALL rooms at the location). Little Janie is workin' her boyfriend's knob (Or her girlfriend's feline regions - We're all adults here) and refuses to open the door. BY LAW, Mrs. Bitchyneighbor has the authority to call in the police to investigate 'suspicious activity'. The police come, inspect the entire premises (Janie has, by now, gotten her shit together and opened the door), examine the licenses, the business documents, etc. and find nothing out of the ordinary. They leave.
Meanwhile, every neighbor on the street has seen the prowlers in front of the house, cops going in and out, and the inevitable newspaper blotter quip: 'Local police investigate possible prostitution on Cherry Lane'. Kiss that legal side business goodbye, your neighbors will whisper, and Janie's beau ditches her because his evangelical thumpermentalist mom doesn't want him hangin' with 'that kind of girl'.
And who pushed this shit? Under the guise of preventing 'trafficking'? None other than Mrs. Bitchyneighbor and her ilk, some of whom give handys in the kitchen on a slow afternoon for bingo money and are upset that the Asian parlors are stealing their business. And the legal massage therapists that think their lack of business is due to the existence of Asian parlors and has nothing to do with the fact that there are literally THOUSANDS of them in the state that were all lured to dreams of riches by the hundreds of massage schools that push them to half-assed 'careers' where most of them can't even grasp the concept of a business license.
Guess what, pissy white ladies, you didn't read the fine print. Little Janie's going to have to quit school now because everyone is calling her legally licensed, fully trained, medically certified therapist mom a 'common' whore.
And you're next.

Full blown censorship. Nothing more, nothing less.

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT : All Escort Channels have been removed.
Just want to say a few things...........
Yes the review section is down for new posts but as of the time I typed this all of the prior threads were still up for researching someone that most likely has been reviewed several times. That's a good thing.
Yes, Craigslist is down, but to be fair 80% of the photo ads on CL were bait & switch, you know that GG pornstar living in Los Angeles was not in some apartment in Corona.....
There's a plethora of free chat apps available that can take the place of what's been lost. The downside being once the chat is over, what you dont save is gone, BUT, that works in your favor also. Let's be honest there are some workers who think the reviews are making them lose business so they log on under aliases to bash members, a chat group would eliminate that factor.
my .02 cents, my email and IM's are always open.....

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT : All Escort Channels have been removed.
If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, these motherfuckers will twist the legalese to make that damned duck into an arm-eating alligator if it so suits them. The wording, and/or lack thereof, is sufficient to lock down a site through litigation long enough to cripple and ruin it.

Backpage in Australia has been completely unaffected by any of the changes in the US or UK (where explicit pics and videos have disappeared). I'm not a lawyer, but they must be confident that their branches in other countries are shielded.

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT : All Escort Channels have been removed.
Seeing how the other threads are still live, can't HA admins just renamed the "NY Escort Review" title thread to exclude the word "escort"? How does the new US congress bill apply to scan sites or threads that would be considered Sex Trafficking? They have had to setup looking up keywords.

If people posted links to escort ads in their reviews it might be a legal risk. I don’t think anyone is really sure how exactly the new bill applies to businesses but no one’s too keen on becoming a test case.
-
Re: ANNOUNCEMENT : All Escort Channels have been removed.
I doubt that would work because there will still be incriminating words in the posts - try googling 'escorts hung angels' to see what I mean. But the key point is that there is no upside for Grooby in taking such a risk.

I had this out only last week. The "Left" get the blame for it in the UK too but the very highly paid Civil servants (£150-200K +per year) who implement this garbage are not from the Left! We haven't had a left wing Government in this fucking place for 40 years & it's going crazy! Neither have you have you?

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT : All Escort Channels have been removed.
Sorry for the long post, but I saw this in the TER Forum and thought it to be very useful and informative.
The Senate Just Passed a Bill That Puts Sex Workers In Danger.
The SESTA-FOSTA bill makes platforms more liable for their users’ speech, and that’s not good for anyone.
The internet just became a more hostile place for sex workers, victims of sex trafficking, and fans of internet freedom: The Senate voted 97-2 to pass SESTA on Wednesday, making websites liable for what their users say and do on their platforms.
The solution is to go the other way, to legalize and regulate sex work!
We are safe for US providers!
We are based in Europe, we do not have offices or call centers in US, we are hosting in Europe (in Amsterdam, because the Netherlands has long been a leader in the battle for privacy and data protection), and charging through EU banks (Switzerland and Germany) no connection to US, we are safe for US providers.
xxxxx is an international website, but we do get the most traffic from the US.
Our current US Alexa rank is around 21,000
Here is a list of solutions and direct resources to assist you.
It could take from 90 days until 2019 for SESTA and FOSTA to go into action, so keep calm and use that time to change things.
We’ve always been smarter and we will survive!
Build your Escort Website on Wordpress and host overseas in a Switzerland, Netherland or Australian based web host where sex work is legal. Netherlands hosting reviews.
We recommend Excelnode.
It is the best offshore adult web hosting, prostitution in the Netherlands is legal and regulated.
The price is very low, only $2.99/month. You will get a free cPanel, 24/7 support, they solve all problems within a minute.
99.9% uptime, and they offer free migration.
Do not use .com, .net, or .org.
Regardless of where your site is hosted, US has total jurisdiction over those domains.
ICANN.Org has a comprehensive list of alternative top level domains that the US doesn't control. (pick a domain in a country where sex work is legal)
We will do the same.
For your domain names use a registrar outside the US.
You can choose it from this list.
Encrypt Everything!
Google might be under pressure to crack down on consensual sex workers. This applies to both regular accounts and Google suites accounts.
Use ProtonMail for email. Make 2 accounts, one primary and one recovery.
Encourage clients to do the same so your communications are encrypted.
Use a TOR browser.
Don't use iCloud or Google Drive for your images.
Do not store your content on Google Drive. This is a violation of their TOS and they may delete your account without warning.
Google is legally allowed to hand over your data to the police whenever they wish, or LE can purchase your data from them like any other customer.
With the patriot act, the government can request any of your private information.
Also, it's generally not a good idea to accept google gift cards from clients because if they dispute the charge or report the card stolen, it can make you unable to claim cards in the future.
SpiderOak is an encrypted photo cloud service.
Boxcryptor allows you to encrypt files before uploading them to your cloud service and works with Google Drive and iCloud.
It protects your data in the cloud with end-to-end encryption.
Encrypt your website, make sure it has SSL (secure socket layers)
Anyone who owns a domain name can use Let’s Encrypt to obtain a trusted certificate at zero cost.
Install a VPN an all of your mobile devices and computers.
Use VPN servers to hide web traffic.
TunnelBear has a free/cheap and very easy to use VPN.
Never use your personal phone.
Use a burner phone for work calls and text only.
Don't publish this number online unless you don't mind disposing of it.
If it's published, don't travel with this phone.
Clean up your websites and social media of any key terms and abbreviations (gfe, pse, incall,...etc) be vague.
It may lose clients, but better safe than sorry.
Don't post nudes or anything detailed about work on social media, try to make your account seem like a "normal" one.
Get certified as some type of consultant (happiness, sex, relationship, life,...etc) and market yourself as that.
Don't brand yourself as an escort.
Be careful of where you advertise.
Rewrite your ads, especially on sites based in the US. (the safest is to remove your ads from US based websites)
Avoid trigger words and anything sexually explicit.
xxxxx is based in Europe and has structures in place that act to protect anyone who uses the website especially the providers.
When registering with xxxxxx no IDs are collected, escorts are not obliged to verify their profiles but those who do choose to verify their profiles all verification information is immediately deleted from the servers and no backups are kept. It is the best way to ensure that advertisers are SAFE and can run their businesses without having to worry about a possible breach of data.
We are cautious about how we encrypt and store the data, we do not give out ANY information to third party companies, especially not for a company based in the US, so there is no chance data can be taken from us. We already updated our servers, and to protect you and your data even better we were migrating some data to a new hosting, where not only the servers are offshore (in Amsterdam, because the Netherlands has long been a leader in the battle for privacy and data protection) but all connected companies as well, so like this no data will be accessible in any way.
Consider locking your website for screened clients only.
If not the entire site, then donation pages.
Have a warning contract at the enter page to your site. Make it more detailed than just requiring viewers to be 18 plus.
State that money is a donation for your time only. That your site isn't a solicitation for prostitution in any form.
That they will not use your site or ads as a mean for entrapment or arrest.
Make sure it's clear that it's a contract that they agree to by contacting you.
Pay your taxes! Register your brand as a LLC so it's a legal business.
Communicate what is going on with your clients and friends so they are aware.
Strongly advise them to only communicate with you through encrypted methods such as ProtonMail.
Never store your money in online US based accounts.
Do not post cell phone pictures from the hotel you are staying at unless there is nothing that identifies that room.
And please, don't panic. Be extremely careful, don't show your face right now, use a VPN at all times.
The current uncertainty surrounding SESTA and other US-based escort ad platforms has left many US providers wondering if their businesses will be around for much longer. Many of you think it's getting scary, and you are getting tired of trying to figure out new sites to advertise on. We are up, and functioning, and not going anywhere!
Advertising cost in the sex industry is so high. Some of the other websites prices are absolutely insane, some just doubled their advertising prices.
We are still very budget-friendly, and try to stay that way.
We still have a free ad option, and we offer some of the most cost effective adult advertising packages on the internet.
SESTA/FOSTA passed the Senate. This bill is a bad digital policy and bad for the safety of sex workers.
We are here to support you!

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT : All Escort Channels have been removed.
I too am gutted about this. What an invaluable resource the review section has been for me and so many others. Including the girls themselves, those that offer a great service. I am growing weary of dictats, political sledgehammers that piss on the fires of fun. What a sad world we are living in.
-
Re: ANNOUNCEMENT : All Escort Channels have been removed.
I am gutted about the review section being lost on here. I have always thought that the reviews on here have been very very fair.
As an escort, the reviews left for me on here I have been very complimented about what has been said. I am not the best TS escort and I wont ever be, I have provided a good steady service at a good steady price. After reading this I know that reviews will be left on ukpunting. I am not happy about this at all. The reviews that are left on there are fierce, unfair, picky and very aggressive. Guys that have left positive reviews have been banned and the posts deleted, they have been called wimps, white knights, arse lickers etc etc.
I have been very happy to mentioned on here and has been taken as a compliment, I do not wish and now I fear being reviewed on ukpunting as it has the ability to ruin my business.
I understand why this has happened on hung angels, I think its a great shame for a great site and to the nice guys who come on here. Its a resource that will truly be missed.
All my love to the guys on here, take care
