This is actually why I prefer to call myself a TV (Transvestite) as opposed to a CD. To me, "TV" only really includes those who have a serious feminine persona, whereas CD covers the whole range as you describe. Also, Transvestite is a much older term, which I like. (CDs and TVs are the same as far as being physically unaltered, though.)Quote:

It's at times like these that you realise what a contribution people like PeggyGee made. Look. Hormones and surgery and nice clothes are about looking the way you feel. They absolutely do not define a person as transsexual. A transsexual is not in role (mtf here), she actually is a female. That's her gender identity. You can't tell someone's gender identity from looking at them. In fact a TS is in role if she is forced to wear men's clothing and style. That is one cause of the intense discomfort TS people describe.
Furthermore, it is very well documented that one of the things hetero men find attractive is neoteny, which is the retention of youthful features. Things like soft hair and skin, big eyes, big lips, small noses. Men lose these as they hit the testosterone. SO yeah, absolutely, there are plenty of very young men who have not yet begun to change in appearance who can very easily 'pass' with a little makeup and some sexy clobber.
BTW gender identity is not fixed but fluid, and many people (as noted above) have more than one. Just to confuse the issue.
