That's a tad nit-picky, don't ya think? From a third-party perspective, Natina is talking about homophobic gays. They may not actually be afraid of homoerotica or gay culture, but that's the picture they paint to cover up their sexual orientation. I actually know somebody like that. He would swear up and down that he's straight as an arrow, but then he has dudes come over for the night and it's been years since I've seen the guy with a woman in any regard. Whenever anything on TV even eludes to anything homosexual, he changes the channel and makes some remark about gay dudes being fuckin' disgusting. It's sort of sad.

So, you're right... kinda. They may not actually be homophobic by definition, but that's what they want everyone around them to think.

But Grim, that's not a phobia. I just don't think he wants to be put into a category of all gay all the time. It does get a little sickening sometimes. This country is so hung up on pushing people into categories. Look at magazines and TV. There is a TV channel and a magazine pushed at every type of lifestyle on the planet. I am bisexual, and I can't stand watching anything on LOGO TV, or reading magazines aimed at the gay lifestyle. Because it pushes being gay as the best and only thing to do in the universe. It's overkill. I get sick of it too.

He may also be sick of how gays are treated sometimes and doesn't want people to know he is gay to avoid that kinda shit. But that's not a PHOBIA. A phobia is a strong fear of something. And it's not possible to be gay and be fearfull of gays. Natina is just a troll spammer who likes to stir people up so he can post lots of stupid spam adds and racist shit to stir the pot. Sorry my friend, this is not homophobia either. This is the stupidity of categorizing incorrectly by personal ego. This is a person who thinks a man liking another mans dick is gay, but a man liking a TG dick is not gay.

Actually if you look up most definitions of Homophobia...they almost ALL mention other things including hatred and antipathy along with the fear...it's NOT just a literal definition of the word phobia.

And all those things definitely ARE homophobia, I don't know why Indeed thinks he is the person who defines the word. The hatred is most definitely caused by fear.

But the trouble is that because of the fervour of their beliefs such fundamentalists are totally immune to reason. And they smuggle their more extreme ideas in under more widely acceptable popular pasions - ie opposition to "big government." So the broad church that is the tea party doesn't support these more poisonous ideas, per se, but accepts them as part of the package. Scarey.
