There is a fine line between what is sexy and cute and what is disgustingly fat and unattractive. It makes me sick that fat broads think it's cute or empowering to use the term "BBW" ad nauseum online. Are you fucking kidding me? Most men don't like fat women. Those that DO most likely have a fetish with dark undertones, and they are NEVER going to respect you or tell you the truth.
There's nothing wrong with being attracted to average/athletic women as well as thick women as long as you don't bastardize the term "thick" as the fatties have. If you have any taste, you know what I mean. :)

This might wind up being too long of a post, but here goes:
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, no question about that.
We all have preferences. Whether it's hair color or body shape or intelligence level, we all have things that get our motors running.
I like to think that most sane people recognize that.
While there are some that are quick to cry discrimination or bigotry in those instances, I don't think that that's always the case.
But in our overly hypersensitive society, it's hard to make that case and that point clearly.
To the OP: I don't think you're shallow if you are attracted to skinny women. That's fine. Most of the time, we only can judge the physical because that's what makes the first impression. And since most guys tend to be visual first, attraction is key.
If others want to say that you are bigoted because you aren't interested in seeing someone that doesn't fit your physical attractiveness, that's their problem. Don't fight back with invective on your side; just simply state "I'm not attracted to 'X' type of body in that way."
Now, if you say, "I hate all fat people and wish that they would fucking die" then that's discrimination or bigotry, IMHO.
Personally, with GGs and with TGs, I have a broad range of what turns me on; there isn't a particular body type that gets me running. And I don't say that to come off as high and mighty or as superior to other folks. It's just the way I am wired.
But don't worry about being seen as shallow. At least you are in tune with what gets you going. Makes your life a lot easier, probably.
