The decision to reverse the Net Neutrality provision of the Obama era was made by the FCC not Congress. The FCC has now published its intention to end Net Neutrality on the 23rd of April and, in addition to law suits pending from aggrieved firms, the Democrats in Congress -none of whom are remotely 'left-wing'- are trying to assemble the votes to oppose, not support it. Thus:
Opponents of the FCC's vote have vowed to fight back -- and now they can. Publication in the Federal Register also opens the door for the public to sue. And Mozilla, video-sharing site Vimeo and a coalition of 23 attorney generals led by New York attorney general Eric Schneiderman did just that on Thursday.

Federal rules give Congress a 60-day window to pass a resolution reversing the FCC's vote. Democratic senators, including Chuck Schumer and Ed Markey, are trying to drum up support for a bill that would do just that.

The Commissioners are appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. Of the five, three are Republicans and two Democrats. The Senate has a Republican majority.
