By way of background Im a straight guy who recently developed an interest in this scene but has yet to meet a tgirl or shemale/trans.

This is a very interesting conversation, sans the vulgarity. What determines identity? Is it strictly biological? How passable you are? Your own mentality? Is your dedication towards that identity necessary to claim yourself to be of that gender? Is it a mixture of these factors?
There are always exceptions to these questions, for example, androgynous insensitivity where the 23 chromosome does not accept the neurotransmitters during reuptake in the synapse while development occurs in the pre teen and teenage years. There are people that make claims to have more a female like persona if not are a female persona. There are people forced into that role as someone alluded to in earlier posts. Then again, it seems that if women (A) goes walking around to make claims that she is a man trapped in a womans body with no progression towards that end people dismiss it, which seems to suggest that there is some connection to dedication towards that end and the mentality. But, how much dedication is needed to be recognized? Is it dependent on how passable you are? I would hate to think that identity is strictly based upon the attractiveness of the flesh, but yet there seems to be a connection to it. Some people have to try harder than others to achieve their "home within themselves" (of course I can never really speak about it because I have never traversed that path). Is there a certain dollar amount you need to spend? What about people that have possessed their physical traits naturally that don't need to spend as much to achieve that homeostasis. Is that fair? To be honest, I am very intrigued with this question of identity and sexuality. It seems that ones passability or their dedication is attached to both. Could someone help me with why? Like something that isn't based on a slippery slope. I definitely support those who dedicate themselves with living the lives the choose, especially when it comes to the stress involved with this progression. I guess another question is shall people that make less dedication than others be shunned for their similar claims?

Well to simplify things. Being a woman isnt always about sex. Thats probably how I got sucked into looking around forums like these is because I am able to consider her a woman as long as she does. Its because I respect someone enough to respect that persons identity choice whether there is an attraction or not between me and her. Hence I opened my heart and mind to the possibilities. But shes got to be more female than male if I was to get with her.

The real question for intellectuals is how much choice does the individual have concerning attraction and/or identity ?
