Very upsetting news. A true gentleman and wonderful free spirit. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this sad and difficult time. You will be missed old friend.
Was going to visit a TS next week.. will donate the money to a cancer charity instead.

I will be honest, I didn't always like Prospero or what he had to say. I had some heated debates with him at times. But this doesn't mean that I shouldn't give my condolences to his friends and family, for them, I am sorry for their loss. And even though I didn't see eye to eye with Prospero, he did have a knowledge of things, a knowledge of words and experience that I did find intriguing.
I know most on this forum are not religious, but I am and I will say a prayer for Prospero's soul. I hope he is in a nice place, a place to be free.
So, good bye Prospero. You might not have known it but I did find our encounters interesting.
PS-Hi Robert Louis, sad to see you again under these circumstances.
I exchanged a couple of emails with him-was a decent man. He will be missed here.
I didn't know the man as well as other here but his nature comes across in his posts and the high regard he's held in here. My condolences to those that knew him, the forum is darker without his presence

I'm very sad to lose such an awesome person, friend, partner as "Prospero".
I had the honor to meet this wonderful man when I just arrived in London and absolutely nothing know about this beautiful country. He was one who gave me a helping hand))). We visited many amazing places in London and he told me many interesting stories from his life. Each time we met he brought for me my favorite flowers and a selection of music and literature. Its very hurt to realize that "Prospero" is no longer with us.
Now Ill never hear his gentle voice which woke me up in the morning.

I always imagined him to be tall blonde, with swedish heritage, he laughed when I shared this with him!

I just came in to check some mails on my profile and saw this. :( One of the last few good ones has departed, very sad news. My most sincere condolences to all his friends and family. RIP Prospero!!

Just to let you all know that Prospero was laid to rest on Wednesday in a beautiful woodland glade in a peaceful part of Hampshire. And it was both a sad and happy occasion, full of good memories of a fine man, a true friend, and an exceptional human being.
Sleep peacefully, my dear friend.
And it goes without saying that he would have greatly appreciated all the tributes that have been paid to him here. Thank you all.
I log here very day
And every day I realise how empty this forum is for his passing
He was a good friend, a fine decent honest person
And I miss his wisdom and advice- and friendship - a great deal
