I was in the Navy and dealt with many deadly things on a daily basis. The "basic benefits" you listed mean nothing to me. I do save for the future, and plan out everything. If I want healthcare, I can get O'Care, but I don't need that because I am a veteran and can go to the VA where I am fully covered.

Oh and the risks I have in my line of work are not in others? I was stationed in Japan while in the Navy and literally got out not 2 months before the Fukushima reactor started melting down.

If I would have stayed in, I would most likely have developed radiation poisoning from the aid given by US Sailors. Last I checked, there are about 70+ sailors who now are highly radioactive and have many types of cancers growing within them. ( Also, the chances of a US citizen getting a deadly disease is much greater for a US Soldier/Sailor/Marine than it is for someone like yourself or any civilian. Because of the "I am immortal" mentality MANY of them have when they go out into the world and fuck around because I know for a fact, that those in the military have just a few things on their mind...Money, Booze, and Pussy/Dick! ) <--- Firsthand experience fact.

So you see, my job's risks are not better or worse than my serving in the US Navy. Exactly what danger were you in on a daily basis? The point is changing the industry for the better, you might have insurance through your time serving, but that isn't every working girl. Have you served in any military force? I very much doubt it. Your assumption that the Navy ( I say Navy because I was in the Navy ) sees no combat is outrageously incorrect and VERY disrespectful.

I was stationed on the USS Fitzgerald DDG 62 Arleigh Burke Class Aegis Guided Missile Destroyer. My ship was apart of 7th Fleet. 7th Fleet, the ONLY Forward deployed fleet in the whole US Navy. We had to deal with everything concerning Russia, North Korea, and China.

A lot of things I can not say because of classified information, but lets just say that in that area...things are not as safe as the news tells you things are.

My ship, the USS Fitzgerald, was and still is the most sophisticated ship.

Doing porn is a choice. Doing escort work, is a choice. Joining the military, is a choice. We all decide what field to pursue.

By the way...The Fukushima incident was and still is completely RELEVANT. The US Navy supplies ships and sailors to areas in need where ever and whenever.

My son is a civilian that supports the 7th fleet, yes Fukushima was a huge deal. Serious enough the GW sailed 3 days after even though it was in full overhaul. Active duty navy at sea work their butts off daily with a high degree of risk. I really thank you for your service.
