Not fat enough . Also that is roasted not fried . Not only that, it would use a bar-b-que type sauce or rub . Paula prefers Butter .

WOW!! this thread is still up?? I guess the mods are on vacation..or is there a tranny convention in town? This is despicable, and i've seen the swift raft of chastisement for much less "freedom" of speech..SMDH!!
This was posted in the Paula Deen shaken down thread.
Horrifying. I couldn't fathom the oppression that african americans have survived. HA should be a pleasant place to visit on the interwebz.
I agree.
Well you mentioned SWIFT . Swift and Company is Armour's biggest competitor . Armour is owned by Smithfield . Paula was a spokesperson and had a named brand for Smithfield . So you see you confirmed the continuity of the thread by using that word .
I found a a thread starter regarding a 6 y/o TS winning a court case to allow use of the girl's bathroom . In front of that story was one on Paula Deen . That would render Paula pertinent to that thread , You see, you can'y go online or turn the tv or radio in the USA without Paula popping up . She is the pokemon of 2013 . She is everywhere .
If she spelled "butter" with an "a" instead of "er" people would consider it less fattening. But many feel "butter" has no place in this day and age and prefer to substitute it with something more healthy. "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" is what I go with. At least there's no hyphens.
I didn't bother to read the Paula Deen thread,no doubt full of Paula Deen apologists.
That picture might be a bit much but it bursts the nostalgia bubble people like Paula Deen have for the old South and reminds us of the ugliness that underpinned good old Dixie.
I didn't read the thread because for me, it's a case closed. I don't want to know anything from her anymore. But I agree with you, Dvdman, this is unacceptable. It's disgusting! And to look at the faces of these pigs! just enraging and disgusting. There's a huge insensitivity in posting this! Have you tried to tell someone, Seanchai or Prospero?
What a pleasant way to start off ones morning..with a little reminder of the horrors my ancestors went through..awesome
This statement is beyond dumb.
You could say you have an issue with certain pathologies that seem to afflict the Black community in greater extremes than the general population, but for you to make the idiot comment suggesting Black racism(???) is equal or as great a social ill in the USA to White racism is just stupid.
Blacks are 13% of the population and as a group we don't exert the economic pull or institutional authority that Whites do.
When a White person without a college degree has a greater likelihood of being hired for a job in this country than a Black person with a BA or BS, don't talk shit to me about Blacks becoming more racist.
God what an idiotic thing to say Maddy.
Like you know enough Black people to even make such a braindead comment.
As for 'high minded' Cecil, show me ANYWHERE that Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton used 'uppity nigger' or 'chief monkey' in describing themselves??
You're just absurd. Leave the irony for people who know what it means.
I don't know who Paula Deen is - and didn't read that thread so as yet am unaware of the context.
Horrific yes but should we start censoring this brutality, wouldn't that support what some would want, for it to be forgotten about?
I'll leave it for the membership to decide.
Posting that picture was inappropriate.
It didn't advance the discussion or highlight the issue being discussed.
However since the pic was uploaded by a Black member of HA to point out what racism in the SOuth was really about, I guess there was a point.
However the problem I have are comments made after the fact by assholes like Cecil regarding the pic, thinking there's a funny comment that needs to be attached to the photo.
Posting photos like that brings out the coachroaches on this board IMO.
Jesus... but that is appalling.... and while I tend t agree with TSDVDman seanchai has already made a decision here. I guess it's a question of context.
This thread is getting out of hand - and Cecil's joke is really very sick indeed. Curb the racism.... everyone.
For fu's sake cecil... the killing of a human (i.e. a lynching) does not equate to the treatment of someone by the press. It simply does not. A a crass and stupid comparison.
I don't know and i don't care. Your earlier joke was totally out of order.... and so was the remark about lynching,
Does that matter Cecil? The thing that matters here are your tasteless remarks, your virtual racist jokes.... and it saddens me if you are telling the truth about your work that you can make such tasteless jokes about people dying, about lynching etc.... so curb it or you will face consequences.
My point WAS black people in this country are a lot more socially able to say their opinions about whites than the opposite. For example, if I said anything regarding black people as a whole I'd most certainly be deemed a "racist" amongst other things, but if it's a black person making the remarks against white people that's never even mentioned, and YES, Al Sharpton is completely and OPENLY racist, and should have the same type of articles written about him everytime he says a stupid, racist remark, which is more often than not. And, i'm by no means saying either type of racism is O.K., what I'm saying is if we want to stamp out racism, let's do just that and not create some kind of social rule as to who can be racist and who can't, that's ridiculous. As far as black people not being paid as much or not being able to get the same jobs, etc., I agree with you and I don't think that's right at all, but does that justify racism. No.
Give me an example other than Sharpton's defense of Tawana Brawley in the 1980s(an incident where Sharpton had no idea the claimant was a liar) where definitely he's a racist.
Your statement that Sharpton somehow hates White people is IMO misguided and devoid of fact.
Stand by your convictions and not political dogma.
If you see wrong being done, by anyone, speak on it.
The incidental skin color of the perpetrator shouldn't impact your criticism.
I hate it when White folks cower in fear claiming they can't speak on issues of race and discrimination. That's a cop out by someone who doesn't want to be challenged on their views.
People call the Buttslinger Klan racist, but when we get together for a little reunion we always wave lots of fried chicken and watermelon, and I had a black friend at work once.
I can't really remember what this family discussion was about, I had been hitting the keg pretty good that day, and was in the bathroom when it started. You have to finish up them kegs on the first day, they get flat real quick.
Leave Giada alone dammit! Bitter female demographic.
Giada is Italian so make sure she doesn't use the M Word either.

Giada De Laurentiis: Paula Deen Fans Are 'Not Happy' With Me
http://l.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/kKN..._logo_blue.gifAccess Hollywood – 1 hour 59 minutes ago
When The Food Network yanked Paula Deen's shows and replaced them with programs by Giada De Laurentiis, the chef felt the backlash.
Giada stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday, where she dished on being in caught in the middle of Deen's N-word controversy.
"Her shows got replaced by my shows, so we have a lot of people not happy with me right now, as if I had anything to do with it," Giada told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.
Deen supporters have taken to Twitter and Facebook over the issue, telling the chef she needs to defend her fellow celebrity chef, but Giada stressed that she is not getting involved when she doesn't know all the facts of the situation.
"That's what everyone on social media wants me to do, to make comments, [to] stand up for her. The problem is, you need to do your homework first, you need to have all the facts before you say anything - especially in a situation like this," she explained. "Paula has been nothing but wonderful to me over the years.
Adding, "I know her as a kind woman. I don't know what happened and this happened awhile back, so I don't know what happened so I'm not going to make a comment based on ignorance. That is not a good thing to do."
Giada explained that she never witnessed Deen using the N-word.
"I do know her family and we've worked together many times... I've never been in the presence of that," she said. "I think this was a shock to many of us on the network."

So Cecil's a cop.
Anyone else remember Arnie666?
Now Jesse Jackson himself wants to help. What a nice guy. I wonder how many zeros he'll have Paula put on the check for his well-meaning assistance. The only thing Jesse could help her with is making a baby out of wedlock. Wonder if he can shame her into it.

Well fry my Twinkie, I never heard of Paula Deen 'til she hit the news as a member of the reformed church one time racists. Amen, sister.
y'all makin' the gifs cry now.

Here's the problem: to be an effective racist, you have to have power over those against whom you hate. Given that black people wield little to no power in most parts of the world you should be thankful that all they do is express their anger and frustration with rhetoric instead of reading Fanz Fanon and taking matters into their hands.......literally. Even in the worst of the worst situations - South Africa - they did not rise up en masse and slaughter their oppressors.
You don't just 'stamp out' racism by playing nice - reading these boards should tell you that. You see you're approaching the problem from a position of privilege so your views are skewed in favour of what sounds reasonable from that position but to others who have experienced it firsthand, watched it happen to their parents, grandparents, heard about what happened to great-grandparents, its completely different.
The greatest power the underdog has is righteous indignation so in that regard, Al Sharpton has the right to say whatever the fuck he wants to say. Someday guys like him may not be needed but for now you better believe a lot of people owe him a lot - both black AND white.
Arnie666 might have been entertaining to you, but his postings were vile and may well have been quite upsetting to any African-American or other ethnic minority members here. He was worse than the late unlamented cecil rhodes.
The LATE cecil rhodes? My, my. My condolences to his readers.
I think Prospero was referring to this Cecil Rhodes...

Ah, the man who made diamonds a girl's best friend.
I meant late in the sense that the site banned him
Hush my mouth & fry my oats in coal oil grease!
Who cares?
I think a lot of the accusations of racism against African-Americans go like this. An African-American man is passionate about civil rights and his speech is sometimes vitriolic and not passive enough. Therefore, he hates white people. He must hate white people because he decries institutional racism.
On the other hand, if a black guy says, "white people are the oppressors...they are devils...etc." that IS racism. Unfortunately for those who claim a lot of African-Americans are hardcore racists, this is not very common. I'm not saying it's never happened, but the accusations are more numerous than the offenses.
Racism is made more effective by power. It does not mean that a minority cannot be a racist, just that it is much more difficult to persecute someone from the majority culture.
Anyhow, Paula Deen is not just accused of using racial slurs. She is accused of harassing her workers (subordinates) with racist speech. This makes even more clear the accusation of racism plus power.
