Well. I also wrote a blog post about what I LIKE about her viewpoints, and that's important too.
Life gets complicated when you see both sides on an issue. This situation gets complicated when trans folk cite articles written by progressive cis people saying that these words are slurs, and here i am, trans, saying wtf? It's not your place to tell me which words are slurs.
Im all for using whatever words we want to use. And the trans porn producers are in their own way, bigger trans allies than when overly politicallu correct people who probably hate all porn start to tell me I can't say "tranny"
But there's something else I took out of this, and it's not really the crux of her argument but it's something about her career choices that I do like. I can't vouch for the quality of the content of "Fucking Mystic", but I can applaud it for not having a trans-identifier in the title. I'm all for blowing the doors of creativity wide open by saying that we don't have to use ANY trans terms if we don't want to.
It's just a matter of seeing wether the market will accept that or not.
anyway, i wrote a bit about what I like about her viewpoints, even if I disagree with a lot of it.
