Here are a couple "point and shoot" hits and misses from my trip to the Alps.
Pic #1 is a scenic Swiss Valley.
Pic #2 is an early morning shot of the Matterhorn that was stunning live but a total flop on film. The Mountain had been fogged in the night before, but at dawn all this morning light came angled in over the glacier and poured an unearthly amount of light onto the face of the Matterhorn. For about 10 minutes, it went from incredible clarity, you could see every nook and cranny, to pure white, and then various shades of pink. It wasn't til the end I thought to grab my camera. I was so disappointed when the film came back. I trhink with a proper camera and some training I could have captured an unbelievable site....
