I'm not going to pretend that there aren't plenty of people that take issue with him just because he is black. In fact, I know people that can't stop going on about the issue.

However, keep in mind that the uproar that kicked off the tea-party involved the second House vote to approve the bank bail-outs after it was defeated a first time, even when 90% of the calls they were getting demanded that they vote it down a second time.

Those Tea Party supporters are a bunch of fascists. Call it by the right name without the semantic games. Someone like Glenn Beck (who himself enjoys the publicity he´s getting right now) would be wiped out off the TV within 15 minutes if he was a host in Europe. Eva Herman, a former news speaker in Germany, tried to lecture people about Christian and national family values, homosexual "sins", women´s place in the society (as mothers) and dissapeared soon. Now she writes books for an esoteric right-wing publishing house. Americans are not even aware how dangerous it is to distribute such lies and distorting history without facing consequences.

Yea so let's censor people and burn books instead, right? :smh You do realize that history are just memories told from a certain perspective right? You know the version of past events that you learn today is different from what was taught 10 years ago, and will probably change again in 10 more years. I'm no fan of our religious right, but I'd sooner suffer them then bring about some board of censorship.

It´s the Tea Party that would love to burn books. Let´s recall the ban of the theory of evolution in Kansas a decade ago or the most recent history distortion in Texas. Opposing that is what you call censorship. The problem is there because Americans are pretty low informed and educated for Western standards, otherwise not many people would give a shit about Glenn Beck and his lunatic pals. We had this all before in Europe. I think I don´t have to tell you what happened.....
