Never given this much thought

Well, I guess I'm going to have to sound the dissonant note here.

Hara, I would recommend that you NOT do anything sexual with the guy, because (1) he is still married and (2) one must be careful about doing anything with someone from work. If you and he did take the proverbial plunge and things didn't work out, you and he would still have to navigate your common relationship in a work environment. So 'tis better to let fantasies remain fantasies and still be able to respect one another.

Besides, ask yourself: do you REALLY want to hook up with and possibly get into a relationship with a guy whom you know does not take his marriage seriously? That already tells you how he might regard a relationship with you.

Ok, Hara - my bottom line is:
R U that desperate? There`s noone else around you?
C`mon...F him...to complicated.

I think I'll just wait it out a lot longer and just see if there's friendship at the very least in the offing. ;)

First, I don't perceive this as a work situation so I think some of this cautious advice is misguided. It's a vendor-customer relationship, not an employee-employer one. Big difference. Harrassment issues can still apply but not in the same sense of 2 people working for the same company.

Second, I relate to the situation you outlined. I worked as the accountant/hrm guy in a small company that depended heavily on our attorneys. Our main attorney had a paralegal assistant who was very good looking. I worked with her on issues for our company from time to time. She was always very nice to me and we really hit it off in terms of our working relationship. After several months, I finally called her to see what her romantic situation was. Turns out she had a long-term boyfriend. But... the postscript to the story was that she was so happy that I called. She gave me the line that "all girls sit around and wait for the guy to call." She was truly flattered that I took the effort to call her.

Not exactly apples and apples here, but it gives you my perspective. Why not go for it and see where it goes.

P.S. Does he know you're a TS? If not, then definitely call him. It can be a nice little learning experience for him. :twisted:

I would say it probably is not a good idea to get involved with him for a few reasons.

1. He's married. That never makes things less complicated
2. If it doesn't work out it could make things uncomfortable and could affect you work
3. If he is not aware you are a TS that may be a problem as well.

But, if you decide to go for it I wish you the best of luck. Have fun.
