So for all the verbiage following my post in this thread, in what way did the FBI *not* bomb the World Trade Center in 1993? That is the issue at hand here. They disallowed their FBI agent (Emad Ali Salem) to substitute harmless ingredients for a fake bomb, even though he wanted to; then they ordered him to build the actual bomb under orders and supervision of the FBI and the District Attorney of New York County (i.e., Robert Morris Morgenthau); finally, they refused to arrest the targets once they knew the bomb had been built.

So I fail to see where any disagreement arises here. It was the FBI's bomb, as they literally built it. They could have substituted innert materials per their own bomb-builder employee's wishes. And even after they built the bomb, they could have arrested the targets of their "sting" before the bombing took place, since they were informed by their own FBI bomb-builder at every step of the way.

But of course, had they done that then there wouldn't have been a pretext for increasing the police state, with the concomitant increase in the government's funding, control and power.
