Thanks. If I say something stupid, I want to make sure nobody knows who I am.

I'm a computer nerd... been doing it for 30 years now. Hell, I've been on HA for ten years now.
Here's the deal. Be paranoid with anything about you online. Everything you post, everything you do online is 'out' there forever.
If you don't post it, they can't find it. And never trust admin's to do their job correctly. Many of them are incompetent at best or malicious at worst. (With the exception of Grooby, he rocks cause he cares.)
Go to www.krebsonsecurity.com This guy 'disappeared' from the internet cause he pissed off a bunch of hackers. They sent the SWAT team to his house and other such crap.
He said it was damn hard to disappear, had to buy a house in someone else's name, etc... but it can be done.
Most of the intelligence foreign collectors/enemies gather on us is stuff we voluntarily put out there on the internet. Let that sink in.
We've done it ourselves, I tracked down a pirate a few years ago by finding one IP from a forum, that I was able to match on another to different email address and from there found a music blog he used to run (and pirate content) in which I was able to find another email address, in which I was able to find his real name ... which led us to his home address. From that, I also found him on a dating site, which I joined (as a chick that I thought he'd be interested in) and got more information from (lives with his parents, rented house etc.).
With that amount of information we were able to take him to court (he never showed but we got the result we wanted).
I was going to post one paragraph a day on the security topic, but I realized I was just as likely to make it easier for malicious actors to find a harass other models. Posting this publicly is probably bad. Steven, I'm going to post this in the girl's only forum for now until we decide a good way to disseminate this information without exposing models.
Sorry to hear about that.
Another reason to treat security advises seriously. Very seriously.
In the original post about safety you let everyone know your are staying with Jamie until you heal. Should have just said staying with a friend. You gave up your location with that post.
You'll need to think about the trade-off posting online for social connection vs. safety. Unfortunately, this is the new world we live in. No system is going to work if you voluntarily give up information.
