I have never heard of this myth. In fact I have read the opposite because several transladies claim bad experiences and refuse to see black men. I don't know the percentage. I wish I could get it free because that would mean I am dating a beautiful transwoman.

I'm sure that there are white dudes who get it for free (me) and black guys who pay. I don't think this phenomenon necessarily goes down racial lines. You can remove the racial element and ask "How does it feel to pay for something that you know others are getting for free?" or conversely "How does it feel to get for free what others have to pay for?"
