The Dead Weather to me is just the White Stripes with better production values, and toned down weirdness. Good tune, though, I prefer The Raconteurs too. I kind of want more from them, but that last album is just so perfect, it feels like a great "go out on top" album. Travis, severely underrated. Never saw the video for this. But I'm going to have "writing to reach you" stuck in my head now. Time to bust out some J-Pop to go in a completely opposite direction...

Yeah, I don't really know Travis at all. I was aware of them because I used to chat with someone online years ago who was a huge fan, but I never listened to them. I had heard "Walking in the Sun" on the radio recently, and it got stuck in my head, so I looked it up and found out that's who it was. It's a cool video.
The last Raconteurs album is great, and it just makes me want more from them.

My sympathies. A few months ago a young man moved into an apartment block a few doors away. He has a souped up car so that when he turns on the ignition it sounds like a bomb going off. He might think its the Batmobile, but only he is a bat. Without the balls. And No, I am not a grumpy old man. This is why we have Schubert.
With that and Schubert in mind...

A classic recording, many thanks. And so much better to greet the day than the Batmobile.
