On the weekend I watched The Hunger Games. It's pretty good. I mean, it's watchable. It's interesting... albeit a fairly dark tale....

Manhattan by Woody Allen
The Station Agent? Really?????? I've never like Peter Dinklage in anything. In every movie, he just seems like an unpleasant guy who is waiting for someone to notice his stature so he can silently judge how shallow they are. Ive never seen the series on HBO that he is in so maybe when I do I'll change my mind but for now, I dont like his acting.
Hi barbie, did you like Manhattan? I enjoyed it but if I remember I liked Annie Hall a bit better.
My favorite Woody Allen movies are not the same ones many like. For instance I did not enjoy Crimes and Misdemeanors. I liked some of his earlier films where I thought he was playing it mostly for laughs. Love and Death. Take the Money and Run. I have strange taste in movies though.
Watched 'The Great and Powerful Oz' last weekend w/James Franco, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams. They did a real nice job trying to make it a pre-quel and according to a NY Times article there were many iconic Wizard of Oz references they werent allowed to use due to legal battles over who owns what so that must not have been easy. The fact is, the movie was just tooooooo long. Two hours in and James Franco is still trying to convince everyone that he isnt a real wizard. If they gutted 45 minutes from the middle of this film I'd give it a possible 6 stars.
Book of Eli - neat story, nice cast...transition shots were great. I also like the underlying tone of their history and possible future.
OK and thanks. I'll check it out
