Hi everybody,
My favorite Sly and the Family Stone record is Fresh! I've played it many, many, times while growing up and even still these days.
I have never played their album, Stand, in it's entirety until tonight, i had only listened to the major hits.
I'll be adding track 2 of this CD to my up and coming exposé on the history of the N word in popular music and comedy.
I've already begun the research. I could take a while to work it all into my schedule, though. So be patient. What i have gathered so far is pretty eye opening.
I started this research because of a POPULAR thread that was recently LOCKED because it was, first of all, placed in the wrong section of the board, and then became little too much for the General Discussion area once i started to analyze the situation.
