The US House Of Representives just the Sunshine Protection Act a bill to make Daytime Savings Time permanent,the bill now heads to the US Senate where it faces uncertainly. I really don't think it is a good idea to make Daylight Savings Time permanent,because it would mean that sunrise would be between 8-9 am in most parts of the country during the cold mornings in the winter. And the senators who came up with this bill,didn't take into account the health and safety concerns or consult with sleep experts about having Daylight Savings Time year round,or the science behind it.
