Back on topic, I am quite conflicted as my choices may reflect. There is the photogenic Amy Daly and the beautiful and expressive Vo D'Balm. But in reality this is hard to say without really knowing the girls who are working in the industry personally.
Kelly Shore is taken now but I remember her from HA before she became a star and how the other girls picked on her…it made me want to go to Peoria and give her a hug and some love.
Even when a person is doing the escort scene, doesn't it help if you like each other before and after? You can't really get that from porn scenes IMHO.

I don't know about the other girls, but I always try to inject my personality into my video scenes. This particularly comes through in my coming soon shemale.xxx sets, where Radius essentially just turned on the camera and told me to take it from there. Granted you're seeing an aroused and highly sexualized version of me, and I am certainly putting on a show, but nevertheless I do feel like you'd get to know me just a little bit. Not enough to base a marriage decision on though, lol.

Yeah...but...you still really can't generalize us. I for example, do have skills and so does Jamie. But if we were to take a job to utilize those skills, we wouldn't be able to do porn, let alone have the time and energy to do it.
We chose to do porn and everything that goes with it because we are our own bosses, make our own time, the freedom to be creative and productive. Yes, sometimes money is hard to come by but we try to manage to survive and what not. Just because we are "pornstars" does not mean we have high tastes and expensive luxuries. We don't ask for much and I know several ( to include Jamie and myself ) who do work their asses off ( pun intended ) to live happily, semi-comfortably, and to provide you all with a quality product.

Well I can't speak for all of us, but certainly one of my formative experiences as a transwoman was spending three years unemployed, energetically but unsuccessfully looking for work, facing constant and persistent rejection and discrimination despite being educated, intelligent, talented, and, yes, employably skilled. That was a horrendous experience, and I think in many ways I won't really ever get over it. Certainly that sense of being completely and utterly unwanted was a big contributor to the sort of social liberation you need to go into porn and sex work: you can't exactly do this if you care what polite society thinks. I'd have to imagine there are more than a few trans porn stars out there that could write a damn good English paragraph and some elegantly efficient C code, but ultimately decided that continuing to search for employment using such skills was a waste of time and emotional energy.

It's more than a question of having expensive tastes...the things I mentioned...in your business, your face and body IS your business...investing in these procedures is as essential to you as would be upgrading all the other equipment you use...props, clothes, cameras, etc.

Most cosmetic surgery are a want, not a need for business in porn. Kimber James didn't need surgery, she wanted it (and I'm not referring to her sex change). It's not like it's a deductible business expense either.

Hey Lily...actually, I'm not an accountant so idk exactly what is deductible, but I do have my own business and therefore take deductions...certainly, if you buy say a pair of shoes (for example) and wear them in a paid shoot, those would be deductible...in any event, let's say you have a bunch of deductions and the IRS took a look at you...maybe they'll allow all, maybe they will disallow some...the ones they disallow, if any, the worst thing that happens is you pay some more tax.
