Re: Ask Prospero anything...thread
I agree but the tread is about asking you anything! So here's two Qs:
1 Do you think it will ever be proved that there exist integers, n,m, such that n!+1=m2 other than n=4,5,7?
2 Do anyone care a fuck?

and martin... what say you start a thread to argue about freud, Wittgenstein, Free Will, etc with Stavros and Dan and whoever and let my Q + A thread fill up with the normal effluvia, flotsam, jetsam and other stuff folks hurl at me. This is not an Oxbridge common room . (Or are you ghost of Freddie Ayer haunting HA?) My veneer of learning is wearing very thin when confronted by the learned ones like you chaps.
Re: Ask Prospero anything...thread
Yes - Roger has made outstanding contributions to math, especially in the fields of cosmology and general relativity (Though I personally liked his work in tiling - not in the bathroom!). However, there is an easy trap to fall into that if someone is a recognised expert in one field then it follows that what he says in any other field carries some weight. Noam Chomsky has made the greatest contribution to our understanding of language, but in speaking about US overseas policy - he has no better soapbox than you or I. LinusPauling (Nobel Prize for Chemistry) believed a load of crap that vitamin C prevented cancer. Same with Roger and his explaination of the consciousness. Sorry
I'll sign off these topics and get back to the size of dicks and think of new threads that ask "any pictures of shemales with x", where x is a random object. To help fellow readers try this site

For someone who's had, even just a few times, some good single malt scotch whisky, anything else seems like it is, comming from the gutter... :)
Re: Ask Prospero anything...thread
OK then. I'll go with another question. Prospero, what's your idea of bliss?
