Actually, I'm "talking reality" seeing as how I actually date a transgendered person with intentions to marry. There is no speculation from where I stand, only direct daily experience.
You named every possible extraneous expense with the expectation that every single transgendered person chases those specific goals.
You said that jobs couldn't be found/held.
You said a man is going to have to pony up for the expenses you listed.
You act as if the things you made up in your head are the lay of the land.
You need to get out more.

It doesn't really matter how passable you are, sooner or later the employer will find out if you're trans or not just by legal stuff. Even if you never been in porn most employers will fire or not hire you on the spot and there's really nothing you can do about it. There's millions of other people without jobs with amazing qualifications, all the employers have to do is make up some other reason on why they wouldn't hire you or why you were fired so they won't have to take the chance of hiring someone different.
Trans girls have skills, almost all of them aren't given a chance in the general workforce.

It is one of the last civil rights frontiers. Generalizations like transgendered do not have skills is ignorant IMHO, no group can be categorized with such a broad brush stroke.
