I seriously doubt one can determine the course of a child’s future sexual preferences, gender identity etc. even if you’re in a position to influence them from birth. Hi vanadinite. A geologist...I'm impressed. Where I grew up in Pennsylvania, all the kids would collect these black cubic crystals which the locals called "luckies." They were all over the place...all you had to do was root around the outcrop next to the schoolyard for ten minutes and you'd probably find one. They ranged in size from 1/2 to 4 centimeters on a side (the smaller were the more common). Once I bashed a big one with a hammer and it was full golden flakes. I'm guessing they were "weathered" pyrite crystals, but real pyrite crystals are solid all the way through and not black on the outside. So I don't really know what they were. Any ideas?
