It kills you by hyponatremia or low blood sodium levels. It's not very easy to do and occurs in marathon runners and some ecstasy users. Handful of cases I think. I wouldn't recommend ecstasy use and if you run a marathon definitely read up on what you should drink and how much. Whether you run a marathon or not don't ingest alcohol through your ass.
