yeah there are definitely multiple reasons. I know of a few that were just drag queens but kept getting so much work done they ended up looking too much like women to live as men so once they stopped performing they went back to living as guys..Also I've heard of trans for pay happens often in Brasil.
I remember just after I first transitioned, over 15 yrs now, I was chatting with some gay guys at a bar where a friend was playing and one of them told me that he had transitioned and then reverted. Had his implants taken out and was now happily a flaming queen. He realized in time that really in his heart of hearts living day to day as woman wasn't really what he wanted. He still did drag once in a while, but just for fun.
