I guess I'm showing my age with the hotels I mentioned. The Carter was right next to Sally's, probably the same building. I remember a hotel near the armory, I thought it was on Lexington in the 25-27st area. And you are right, the area a tgirl lives should not be too much of a difference in their transition. It is just as rough or maybe even rougher to transition while living in those hotels Nicole as it would be to live in rural Ohio. There is more chance of harm happening to someone in cities than in the suburbs. Just cause there is a gay area of a city or the GLBTQ has a building in a city doesn't mean a tgirl is safe from harm. I bet more tgirls are killed in liberal minded cities than are in the suburbs.
As i said before Nicole, you having lived in those places would make you strong, you had to be, you survived them.
PS-Was the West Village hotel called The Jane? Or was it on Jane St? It had bands play there.
