Buttock-booster: Anivia Cruz-Dilworth, 28, of New Brunswick was indicted after six patients were hospitalised after receiving injections to boost their bottoms
A model has been charged with injecting gel into women’s buttocks without a practitioner’s licence.
Six patients ended up in hospital in March after visiting Anvivia Cruz-Dilworth, 28, who has appeared on the TV programme The View .
They had all sought bigger bottoms in line with the celebrity vogue led by Kim Kardashian and rapper Ice-T’s wife Coco, who are both rumoured to have had bottom-enhancing jabs.
Authorities say the women were injected with the same material as decorators used to caulk bathrooms (pipe-sealant).
The women showed up in the emergency rooms of Essex County area hospitals complaining of problem.
An investigation revealed Cruz-Dilwort had injected women with what she described as hydro-gel.
Several of the women sustained serious bacterial infections requiring them to undergo surgeries.
The women who underwent these procedures were put in touch with Cruz-Dilworth by word-of-mouth at area beauty salons, said Assistant Prosecutor Peter Sepulveda.

In her biography, Cruz-Dilworth describes herself as a 5ft 10ins full-figured model. She says she has been represented by Wilhelmina and Clicks modeling agencies in New York City and in Essence Magazine and Oprah’s O Magazine.
She is scheduled to appear in Superior Court on December 9.

Anivia Cruz-Dilworth (pictured) was indicted Tuesday for practicing medicine without a license. According to court documents, Cruz-Dilworth told the women that she was a trained professional and that she would inject them with a substance the 28-year-old called “hydro-gel,” which is supposed to enhance the buttock.
Instead, the New Brunswick resident injected her clients with a silicone sealant, the very same material used to caulk bathtubs. The injection sites were also sealed with Krazy Glue. Cruz-Dilworth, who has never been medically trained or educated to perform these injections, subjected the women to serious infections, ranging from cellulitis (a serious bacterial infection of the skin that spreads) to necrosis (tissue death). Several of the woman had to undergo multiple surgeries.

At this point, Essex County Prosecutor Peter Sepulveda thinks that there may, in fact, be more victims who are suffering from Cruz-Dilworth’s dangerous and illegal practice but have not come forward:

Cruz-Dilworth has been charged with three counts of unlicensed practice of medicine. Each count carries up to five years in prison. She is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 9th.

Fillers are treatments that seek to redefine facial and corporal contours using liquid implants made of biocompatible materials, via microcannulas, implanted on deep anatomical planes through a minimally invasive procedure. Cheek Bioplasty (malar) – facial bioplasty can correct imperfections and project and plump the cheeks, a sign of youth that fades with aging.

Pectoral Bioplasty – patients presenting hypotrophy of the pectoral muscles, Poland syndrome (underdevelopment or absence of the chest muscle) or muscle asymmetry are candidates for this procedure. It is also recommended for patients who have disproportional chest muscles in comparison to muscles of other areas of the body, and who have not obtained improvements in the development of such muscles with physical training and exercise.
Shoulder Bioplasty - bioplasty for deltoid augmentation is performed to reestablish corporal harmony in patients with muscular asymmetry or hypotrophy, as means of correcting scars or depressions caused by the loss of adipose tissues, amongst other conditions.
Lipodystrophy (seropositive patients) – bioplasty has shown great results in seropositive patients who present, as side effects of treatments to this condition, loss of fat in certain areas of the body and especially on the face. Anesthesia is done with a Nacul cannula, introducing a small tube of local anesthetics in each quadrant. Klein solution may also be used. Products used are numbered as to order the proceedings. I waited many years researching the different types of procedures used for enhancement. I finally opted for silicone and I haven't been disappointed. The price of beauty is high and painful, but I have no regrets at all.

From what I researched on bioplasty, the results seemed rather minimal. The results I want for hips and booty only seem achievable through silicone. The stick figure look is just not attractive to me at all. Not to mention the high price tag to go to a surgeon. My income doesn't flow like water in large amounts. To work all these hours, save all that money an then go to a surgeon, disappointment would have been highly damaging.

That's true, but there is a risk in all things in life. The foods we eat, the air we breathe, etc... I've heard of people having issues with theres but I've also see people who have had silicone for more than 30 years and they're just fine. "IF" something bad does happen in the future, I will deal with it as it comes. You only live once and right now, I'm happy.

I've heard of people having issues with theres but I've also see people who have had silicone for more than 30 years and they're just fine. "IF" something bad does happen in the future, I will deal with it as it comes. You only live once and right now, I'm happy.

Like I said, everything is life comes with some type of risk. Its up to each individual to choose their own path. I mean, its not like there have ever been complications and even death from "board certified and approved doctors and surgeons." As of now, I feel great, I look good and that's what counts. "IF" I ever have complications, I'll adjust accordingly. There are pros and cons to the surgical procedures addressed in this topic as well. Nothing "unnatural" is without a hint of danger.

(CBS/AP) Police say they are investigating the death of a 20-year-old woman from London who had a cosmetic injection into her buttocks at a hotel near the Philadelphia International Airport.
Detectives say the woman and three associates traveled from London and were staying at the Hampton Inn in southwest Philadelphia. Two of them reportedly came to the city in November to have their buttocks enlarged and, on Monday, one received another injection while the other had a hip augmentation.
Detective Joseph Murray said the 20-year-old woman who had the buttocks injection complained of chest pains and trouble breathing. She was later taken to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital where she died early Tuesday.
The results of an autopsy by the Delaware County medical examiner's office haven't been released.
Police are looking for two people involved in the cosmetic procedures, which authorities believe were arranged over the Internet.
"We're not quite sure right now if that person performing that procedure is licensed or unlicensed," said Lt. John Walker of the Philadelphia police southwest detectives division.
Walker said investigators were also awaiting test results to determine the substance used in the procedures.

(CBS/KYW/AP) Investigators in the death of Claudia Aderotimi scoured the home of Padge Victoria Windslowe, a 41-year-old Philadelphia woman accused of injecting an illegal substance into the British woman's buttocks.
Authorities are still searching for Windslowe, a transgender hip-hop singer who also goes by "Black Madame" and who could be charged with murder.
According to court documents obtained by CBS affiliate KYW, police executed a search warrant Thursday and seized dozens of items from Windslowe's home, including a box of syringes, packets of silica gel, and a sterile water bottle for injections.
Aderotimi, 20, a dancer and aspiring hip-hop star, traveled with friends from London to Philadelphia in order to undergo the illegal cosmetic procedure.
According to The New York Daily News, Aderotimi and another woman went to a hotel near the Philadelphia International Airport and paid more than $1,500 to receive injections to make their rear ends curvier.
The other woman survived, but Aderotimi complained of chest pains and trouble breathing and was rushed to the hospital where she died a day after the Feb. 7 procedure.
"She started coughing and having shortness of breath," Lt. John Walker, police spokesman told The New York Daily News. "What we believe happened is that the injector nicked a vein and put the substance into the bloodstream. It goes through your vascular system and lands in the lung and since it's a gel, it will pile up like a rock."
"If that's truly what happened, it's a murder charge," he added.
Police say they will ultimately determine what, if any, crimes were committed once they obtain the results of an autopsy conducted by the Delaware County medical examiner's office and learn Aderotimi's exact cause of death.
Liquid silicone is sought on the black market by women seeking to enhance their figures, even though it is not approved for cosmetic injections. It was not known what substance was used on the women at the hotel. Besides liquid silicone, injections of substances including paraffin, petroleum jelly and hydrogel have been illegally used to enlarge women's breasts, hips and buttocks.
