When I started hormones and my transition 15 years ago the beauty ideas for a ts body was different than what I see it now for a lot of ts girls.
Back then, the inspirations for most of the girls were the pageant beauty queens and show girls- the Monica Munro's, Mimi Marks, Maya Douglas, Tandy Andrews- etc, etc. Girls who were no much surge queens, but had bodeeeeeeeeee.
Having you body 'done' was a status symbol of woman hood. Gone was the boy shape and now you had a female shape impossible (still is) to get any other way for most of us. If you were lucky enough you may have achieved the 'body beautiful' status- which meant you had bodeeeeeeeee.
In those days there was no internet like there is now, no boards , no info, no widespread knowledge of FFS. All you knew was hormones, basic surgery, implants, silicone, and electrolysis.
SO yea my standard of beauty and idea may be considered hyperfeminine but that was the status quo of when I started. It's taken my that long to get as much as I have and I still do my touch ups.
These days a lot more girls are interested in looking natural and less surged, and I think that is also a reflection of the bringing of transsexualism and surgery and the secrets of the life to the widespread public- which was not then.
The bottom line is you have one life to live and you should look the way you want during it. There is no one to please but yourself when it comes down to that.
Whatever your choices may be- just make wise ones.
Life is not all about one look- you can be real time cunt, or sex syren or a cartoon character.
That is the beauty of CHOICE.

YESS!!!! I totally agree, and it took a while for me to make those steps, I'm doing them little by little, but I would now rather be exotic, and the small steps are making me wonder why the fuck did I wait so long.Quote:

Ok what's the big deal that a TS girl wants to change some part of HER body? So the fuck whatever, everyday in this country and around the world GG get a nip here and a tuck there and no one really gives a shit except skeptics on plastic surgery. If making yourself feel pretty with a little work or alot, then go for it. It's your body, do what you want with it. Just try not to go overboard and hurt yourself.
first girl-OUTASITE! got more?
quite refelection...awesome avatar :)
There's more collagen and silicon in that space of 2 meters than in half of Hollywood!

I have heard the arguments about "choice" from people who have rendered themselves grotesque and unrecognizable. Who have alienated their families and friends.
And I have heard these same arguments from hairy-armed stick-girls who have died from the consequences of anorexia.
Life is not only about *oneself* or one's appearance. It requires more courage to change in the mind and persist in that change than to abandon all convention and become a "cartoon character."
You are wise beyond your years blonde sweetheart and I hope your attitudes become the new "choice."
HEY! If you weren't born with it, you can buy it!Quote:

ANd yeah I got there at 3:30, soooo late!
Sorry again :).
Stating that all people who have a lot of surgery are BDD, or comparing it to an eating disorder is not a just statement. Some people are just extremely vain and that is expressed through surgery.Quote:

All of us, no matter how minimal-modify ourselves to some extent.
Becoming a 'cartoon character' through surgery, if one wo wishes, is no different than a person who chooses to coverr their entire body with tattoos. It's just a different form of self expression and body modification.
A different aesthetic and a different standard of beauty is all.
Not everyone wants to be convetional or be mediocre.
I am not here to advise anyone to look surged, nor am I the 'make all trannys surged brigade'- I am simly defending people's right to do so if they so wish.
And I respect those that share a different aesthetic.

Hmmmm this thread went from 0-crap in 5.4 seconds. Had potential though.
not that you shouldnt make yourself look the way you want to but isnt the general idea here to look like the girl you are and not like a caricature of one?Quote:

whether that makes them recogniseable as being transsexual is a different matter obviously but people will certainly notice that their look isnt all genes
well i think you should refer to Allanah's excellent reflections on that issue.Quote:

so its really about being whatever KIND of woman you want to be.
Maybe there are many females who would like to exaggerate their features too, but its not really something in their realm.
..and of course there are many that actually DO.
as i said before im not trying to deny anybody the right to look whatever way they want to
but if the goal is to pass out in the real world which many girls here seem to be concerned with taking playboy as you only frame of reference of what a real girl looks like might not be the best idea
i think some girls already said that passing isnt always top priority.Quote:

passing is a plus. but i want what i want.
I love the hyper fem woman/shemale, superhero body sex siren glamourous type.
perhaps it is because what allanah mentioned about "our mentors" who, to a skinny boy of 13 looked like goddesses.
whatever the reason I love it.
I love it too! I think it is supper sexy. These ladies looks good.Quote:

Sure you can get carried away, like that lady who had her face transformed to look like a cat but, that's just some crazy shit.
I think whether or not a girl goes for the Playboy look depends on her role models. Mine didn't come from Playboy. Mine were mostly strong females with classic natural beauty like Capt. Janeway of Voyager and Samantha Carter of Stargate SG-1. I know it's geeky, but I still try to be like them.
