To all you guys that posted your real pictures - I think you guys are awesome! (I'm not convinced, however, that some of those other pictures are joke pictures at all... :roll: )
LBCDO, you seem like a way cool guy. So at ease with yourself. Isn't it a great feeling to be who you want to be? If only all the others knew the freedom and relief that comes from being your true self. The closet is WAY too crowded.

Are you talking about real Identity theft, or someone just using a fake picture? I guess if someone uses a fake picture that is on them. I mean, like I said, what if someone actually likes you? Then you are only hurting yourself. And if you post a pic, then decide to go to an Allanahs party, or a girl in your area wants to meet you, you put yourself into a whole situation you wouldnt want to be in correct? We always want to see pics of new girls who show up and dont have them in their avatar, so I dont think its to far from anyoen wanting to see us! And from someone who has been in IT for a whie, and was on Oprah when he was a child for computer intrustion/identity theft issues, you have a next to none risk of identity fraud from someone seeing your picture or you posting on HA.
Its just a picture! Stop making excuses people and post! We got someone who posted their pic on their first post! This thread has probally been looked at by every girl on this site. Lots of the admirers post how they would love to meet these girls, want to shower them in gifts and love, etc. but you gotta show up to do it first! if you go to the club, you get no numbers sitting against the wall, LOL.

Its really a non issue for me. Everyone has their reasons, but Im not really concerned about ID theft or harrasment. If someone recognizes me from someone else using my picture, 99% of the time, someone is going to use it for an area im not even in so credibility doesnt matter. I think this is a really interesting post and i keep on looking out for it when i'm online. The reason LBCDO that nobody is putting there pic up is probably because it is you who is asking us, not because of who you are but beacuse you are a guy, now if allanah had asked i'm sure lots have people would have posted there pic, i know i would :lol:

I mean, you know that allanah posted in the thread, obviously if she looked at it she has some sort of interset! There are threads like "Girls Topping Guys Pt 02" that I skip entirely, but she popped up in it. Not many of the top posters arent even posting up! LOL, rather than passing up the topic, everyone is posting why they wont post their picture. Instead of posting up they dont have a picture, they post these off the wall scenarios like "I just watched the videotape this video tape with some girl falling into the well and now my photo wont develop" or "It might scan into the federal FBI database and confuse me with someone else." Stop making excuses and just post the damn photos!
a simple aspect that is a concern of mine is that if i put my picture on here. basically every tom, dick and harry in the NYC scene would know who i am. i really don't need some drunk fool giving me grief or worse at on of say Allanah's parties cause i said some sort of silly shit on here.

I did it totally on a whim. Yet and all i think (corny or naive as it may sound) that this place is the only place i know where TAs could have a open community of sorts and maybe discuss issues that are not addressed in any other forum be it cyber or of this brick and mortar world. ok first of all True you write great posts. but here is my problem with how some things are written on here regarding this subject. they are generally written as if you are somehow less than good, noble or upstanding if you aren't open to posting a pic and you are somehow something special if you do?
i openly admit here that i do see girls in secret. let's say half of my friends know of my interest in TS's and none of my family. but i don't bash girls in the least. if anything when i am talking to one of the few girls i've "befriended" i can hardly get them to talk about anything but crap about others. so basically it cuts both ways. its no secret that many girls see guys as garbage and openly gossip about them to no end.

She's not personally bothered by my encounters (in fact, she is relieved that I have found a healthy way to express my sexuality which she could not provide), but she thinks--rightly, I think--that most people we know would not understand the situation. Why get entangled in all that? But I have no reluctance, when the topic comes up, to discuss my transgendered friends. I've had quite a few insightful conversations that way with people who have no contact with TS in their lives, but who are open-minded and supportive of minority rights including GLBT rights.
