The mistrust is on both sides. Users steal your work and are not aware that is not correct. This is really not ok., because it is your work. In Germany sex work is legal and people are slowly realizing that it is not stealing from some kind of half criminals making them feel like Robin Hood on the web. In Germany it is also really dangerous to use torrent because that can be tracked by law.
But what most people do is to use streaming sites like youporn. That is not because the don't have money or want to steal. It is because it is also dangerous to use credit card information on some porn sites. That information can get stolen or sold by criminals creating porn sites only for that reason.
I'm afraid the problem will be solved soon, when that big Netflix thing for porn launches soon. But it will also destroy the business and change it into low income for performers, I am afraid....

Something here I'm not understanding...I've done a million searches for all kinds of porn on google, bing yahoo, etc and clicked on thousands of links which have taken me to torrent sites. Not once have I been able to view the content, streaming or otherwise b/c I don't have the necessary software installed. I must be missing something...I didn't think you could view the files w/out already having the torrent downloading app installed. Not only that, for example, if I'm watching HBO w/ an unpaid for cable hookup, that's theft of service...doesn't make it OK as long as I don't keep a copy somewhere...it's still piracy and the original providing artists are not getting the proper remuneration for their work
I'll tell you what....It seems the free streaming sites are technically not illegal because you are not "downloading". But this makes no sense. How are they able to give away the vids for free? Plus, it's so cheap to join a site now where you can download to your heart's content LEGALLY, so why not do that? I mean you want to keep seeing the porn right? If you're worried about your cc info, there are other payment methods. There are torrent trolls out there nabbing people. Christian, you ought to get with them. It's just a numbers game. I am proud to pay for my porn. Keeps my fave's in biz.
Problem is,
The internet has created this "I want everything for free" mindset - just ask the musicians how they feel about their stolen music.
Also, what a lot of people don't understand is that if you pay for it, you'll eventually get better material - the performer who makes more due to legitimate paying customers is more apt to work harder to put out better products to maintain customer satisfaction & increase their customer base.
Christian/Grooby/Bob, etc, etc,....I feel your pain & empathize with you....
