I always mute porn... I get embarrassed for the performers when I have to hear 'em. Sex noises are goofy soundin'.

Hey powers that be, just let me do all the editing... I get it done right, fast and can use the extra cash. Surgeries don't buy themselves.
...you're right...not long to remove 20 seconds. Now multiply that by the hundreds of times these instances occur in an hour anda 1/2 or two hour video. And don't forget, someone has to watch the thing from start to finish w/out FFW to find all the glitches in the first place. Multiply that by how many videos are produced each week...it adds up
...how do you figure that? Someone is going to sit and watch thousands of hours of video and find and fix all the errors...free of charge? As much as I know about how these things are produced, I could be wrong....but that sure seems highly unlikely to me
Everything usually boils down to time and money. I would bet that if there was more of a demand on a bigger scale it would be done to the same standards.
When my dick is hard and I want to do is see some tits and ass so that's all I focus on. Guess I've never even heard the directors because I'm focused on that ass.
Plus...I don't watch this shit for the acting.
Professional companies have video editors to add special effects and remove content such as a director giving directions. Directions are not always long at all if you pay close attention to it. It's normally 5 to 20 seconds of directions to switch positions or to say a line.
It looks really bad when the same scene or line is repeated without any editing. I was watching a video last night of a director saying cut and gave directions to the pornstars. It wasn't edited out so the lines were repeated.
...are you also going to tell us that the story dosn't make sense, or the actor wasn't selling when they orgasmed, or the acting was just bad?
And out of curiosity what do you do for a living?
Before you even get to the editing, how about filming the scenes properly. Video lighting isn't all that expensive and it's reusable. Sometimes I think they just give the camera to some bum on the street and say go up there and film these 2 people fucking. If you're going to have dialogue, buy a cheap shotgun mic and set it up on a stand. You can fit everything you need to do a decent production in an old suitcase and there are free videos online to teach you the basics of lighting and mic'ing a scene.
Since everyone has a video camera on their phone these days, it's even easy to do a 2 camera shoot. I think the camera operator(s), actors and editers should all be listed at the end of each scene, so we can give credit to those who do a great job and blame those who suck at it.
Porn is a business, not an art show. They're in the business of making money. If the product produces revenue, they'll be happy. If there was a tangible benefit to higher production quality I'm sure they'd do it. However, the vast majority of people are watching porn to jerk off, not to view a cinematic masterpiece.
This is bad business.
If I have a mediocre product to sell and it sells as expected, that's fine, but like most products, when the quality improves, so do the sales.
It's not about creating a porn masterpiece. It's about doing your job and taking some degree of pride in your work, no matter what you're doing or whatever industry. I'll bet if people had the "names" in the credits, the quality would improve quickly.
