Anti-Gay Activist Lisa Biron Found Guilty Of Child Pornography After Video Taping Daughter

Lisa Biron, a New Hampshire lawyer who worked with an anti-gay Christian-right organization, has been found guilty of child pornography after she videotaped her own daughter having sex with two men on several occasions.



According to Salon, Biron, 43, is facing a minimum sentence of 25 years after she was convicted by a jury on Thursday. It took the jury less than an hour to deliberate.

In November, Biron was arrested by the FBI and accused of eight felony counts after she videotaped a 14-year-old girl having sex with men. Later, the girl was identified as Biron's daughter.

Biron also videotaped herself having sex with her daughter.

On Biron's Facebook page, she claims the Bible is her favorite book and that she worked for Alliance Defending Freedom.

Alliance Defending Freedom is a "servant ministry" seeking to transform the legal system "for religious liberty, the sanctity of life, and marriage and family."

The group is blatantly anti-gay, and issues "dire warnings" about "the homosexual agenda," particularly in their book, authored by president Alan Sears an senior director Craig Osten.

In the book, they explain that the "homosexual agenda" will destroy religious liberty and free speech. One chapter claims that pedophilia on college campuses is a result of homosexuality, and that homosexuality and pedophilia are linked.

As Biron's case broke out and she was arrested, ADF removed all traces of her from their website and Facebook page. They even clamed in a "CBS News" report that Biron never worked for them.

According to an LGBT blog called Joe.My.God, ADF is continuing to remove her name from their site and Facebook, and is deleting any mention of her name by users on their page.

While it is true that Biron might not have been a formal employee of ADF, she did participate and was a member in their "Honor Corps," according to John Aravosis at Americablog.

The Honor Corps is a group that recognizes allied attorneys who participate in 450 hours of pro bono services for the group. Those who become members receive ADF perks, like referrals, job opportunities, and access to resume postings.

In March of 2011, she was listed by the ADF as an "Allied Attorney Success Story."

A We the People petition calls for the WBC to be banned from the funerals, and a Twitter account associated with the Anonymous hacktivists threatens the church: "Dear @WBCSays, I wouldn't f--k with the people of Boston when they're mad. #BostonBeatDown." It was Anonymous that thwarted the Westboro's Sandy Hook plan, the Raw Story notes; the hackers publicized the hotel where church members were staying, and a human shield was formed to block them. Yesterday, the New York Post ran a piece by Libby Phelps Alvarez, a granddaughter of WBC founder Fred Phelps who left the church—and now fights for gay rights.

Montana Rep. Dave Hagstrom Says Gay Sex Is 'Deviate,' But Says He's Not 'Homophobic'


A Montana lawmaker said Tuesday that he will vote no on decriminalize gay sex in his state because he thinks homosexuality is "deviate.""To me sex is primarily purposed to produce people," said state Rep. Dave Hagstrom (R-Billings), according to a video shot by local news outlet KXLH-TV. "Sex that doesn't produce people is deviate."

Hagstrom noted the word "deviate" isn't necessarily a bad thing. "Deviate simply means it's not normal, it's not typical," he said. Hagstrom also claimed that he has homosexual friends, "so there's no homophobic issues going on here with me."

Hagstrom made these remarks in an attempt to explain why he was voting against Senate Bill 107, a measure that would erase language from Montana law classifying homosexual sex as "deviate sexual conduct," thus making gay sex a felony offense.

The bill, which was passed by the state Senate in February, won a majority of votes in the Montana House on Tuesday, the Associated Press reported. The only lawmakers to vote against the measure were Republicans who said their religion prevented them from endorsing it, KXLH reported.

Hagstrom also compared gay sex to a pen that he held for House members to see. "This pen has two purposes," he said. "The first purpose, of course, is to write. The second purpose is to retract, so that it doesn't leave a stain on your shirt or your purse. One is primary and the other is secondary. To me, sex is primarily purposed to produce people. That's why we're all here."

The bill must be voted on again in the state House before it can be sent to Gov. Steve Bullock to be signed into law.

Kenny absolutely adores the spotlight, and he makes sure that he comes up with bullshit like this every month so he can get his name in the paper.

Northern Virginia is a very civilized, culturally diverse and great place to live, but go 2 hours west or south and you're suddenly in the bible belt and in Gluckville, USA. It's like 2 different states. About 70% of VA's revenue comes from Northern Va, yet Larry and his other brother, Larry in Gluckville seem to get all these ridiculous laws passed through somehow.

Its really not that bad down here.the only thing i would complain about is the lack of services for the lgbt community and there aren't enough latin men lol.socially tho I've never felt safer and more comfortable, most people are pretty cool.

Just to speak up for REAL conservatism here: "conservatives" who claim the "family values" and "religious right" titles aren't REAL conservatives, they're just theocrats. We REAL conservatives, the ones who actually DO want to get government out of people's private lives and businesses, really don't care whether yours is an innie or an outie, nor do we care what you do with your respective appendage or orifice. (If we did, I wouldn't be here.)
