You're not active duty or prior service so you would not understand.
Every week my command has a complaint from some business in town or law enforcement agency complaining that one of my troops attempted to utilize his status as an active duty service member to get out of receiving a moving violation, arrest, or paying full price for a meal at a restaurant. This is a completely voluntary military, not a draft era military like the Vietnam war or WWII. Troops knew what they signed up for when they enlisted and their optaskers that must be completed during their deployments. As I said before your not active/prior service so you would not understand commitment to duty and service above trying to get a freebie from an escort because you're "deploying".
