The French are very protective of their culture. It has nothing to do with fear of Sharia Law. They have restrictions on the use of foreign languages too.Quote:

America is the world's great common petri dish.
The west already lost it's culture to a Middle Eastern desert religion; Christianity.
I'm not real crazy about that term, "the west".
As an American, I resent being lumped in with Europe.

Because the original thirteen colonies were European, we've inherited the viral religious affliction that felled the Greeks, felled the Romans and infected Europe during the fever sometimes known as the Dark-Age.
Today that disease has a firmer hold on us then it does on modern Europe.
As an addendum let me say, that disease is also protected by the first amendment, as any other religion is and should be.
