I like the way it's put in the Dao De Jing:
Empty of desire, perceive mystery.
Full of desire, perceive all manifest things.
To me, both states are to be embraced.
2. I am passionate about compassion: I care deeply about and strive to do as much as I can for others, my fellow people, my fellow creatures, and the earth itself.
