Jesus didn't write the bible. The version of the new testament was thrown together about the time of the Emperor Constinine. All chapters written by men, tweeking their writing to protect their own self interest. They even edited it to delete the more controversial gospels. And God knows what Guttenberb left on the pressroon floor due to exhaustion and lack of interest.

What the fuck is the "Holy Spirit"? No one could really explain the third baseman's role in the trinity thing. No fucking priest or nun ever could. Yeah Jesus is the son of God! But so are we all sons and daughters of God, because he created us. Jesus is like the older brother, the first or 19th, who relays the message..do unto others as you would do to yourself. Apply that to any question and you'll see it covers everything.

I didn't concede anything. I was paraphrasing scripture to make a humorous point, which is better than using scripture to condemn other people the way you do.

I am a church-goer, although I don't go regularly. I am a Christian but I have my lapses like most of us. I have read through the gospels and most of the New Testament and know a few of the stories in the Old Testament. I have Jewish friends, Muslim friends and Buddhist friends plus Christian friends from many different denominations. I believe that the most important thing is to be a good person, regardless of what religion you choose.

I cannot stand religious zealots of any kind, be they Muslim, Christian or whatever. I think religion should be about love. I become annoyed at myself that I find myself increasingly unable to love some people,because those people have only bigotry and misplaced self-righteousness rather than plain decency in their hearts. But I am only flesh and blood and it takes a lot of strength to to stop oneself from getting pissed off in the face of such baiting. I'm no saint. Then again, neither are you, despite any belief you may have to the contrary.

As such, I dedicate this picture to you. I found it ages ago on these forums and have saved it for someone who deserves it. And boy do you deserve it.
