and then there are people who try to label "preference" as racism because they feel offended

Maybe so, maybe not...But it doesn't make it any less of a cop-out.
I'll leave it at that.

It's important that we make a distinction between racism and racial profiling. While I'm sure virtually all of us here will agree racism is wrong, racial profiling is a bit more of a gray area. Case in point: For an example of racial profiling, look no further than the title of this thread.
So there are probably girls that won't see X race for nothing more than personal preference reasons, there are those that won't see X race due to sheer racism, but I'd imagine most of them fall more into the racial profiling category than anything else.
The main difference is that there is a logic behind racial profiling, at least in the mind of the girl in question. Maybe it is personal experience, maybe it's something she heard from her friends, maybe she saw a Google spreadsheet that graphed how generous clients are by race, who the hell knows. Is it morally wrong? Not inherently, but you'll probably have your own opinion on that matter, and it's not likely that anyone else will be able to change your mind.
Still though, it's not quite the same thing as racism.
First off there is no such thing as a white person, they are Caucasian, there is no such thing as a black person they are of African descent. People are not colors, we go from Dark to light, this is basic biology. You will never see an orange person or green, or blue or purple.
If they hate dark people, which is around the world, then they are ignorant. African descent people have Melanin for a great reason and they should want some instead of hating, but it goes back to social ignorance. Many Asian families will teach their children to deal with Caucasians because they believe they have the power and you can live a good life. Movies portray African descent people as killers, drug dealers etc. It depends on what type of Hispanic you're talking about because I know a couple that love African descent men and frankly they look African descent which they are they just speak spanish.
On that note they have the right to choose who they want to be with, and that's their right, remember that. You don't have to sleep with them.

what about the blue people of kentucky?
Caucasian does not mean white person, nor does African mean black person, but even if we ignore that, in what way does this contribute to the conversation? Both "black" and "white" are commonly used terms, to describe people, both formally and informally.
Secondly, being a racist is not inherently ignorant. Irrational perhaps, but certainly not ignorant. I'm not sure you know what the word means.

Ok Yates, well, I have two degrees, one in African studies and one in Eastern Studies and through my course I found it not by African's themselves through linguistics or epigraphic evidence nor on reliefs that the African themselves called themselves Black! I'm not going to sit here and let you as a Caucasian person tell me the term Black is commonly used terms, for who? I don't let anyone call me black, but African descent is the proper term that's why I said it. I have a brown complexion I am not the color black. The word black put on African descent people in America is a classification of status to identify us and accepted by the NAACP to classify us. Many African descent people have stood against such non-sense. Have you recently filled out a job app and now they have where you don't have to put down what race you are voluntarily.
I look at your pic in your avatar and you are of Caucasian descent. If a forensic Dr. found your dead body decomposed automatically they would be able to tell from your cranium that you are Caucasian and they really don't use the word "White" in such cases!
NOw do you even know what the word Black means? What the word white means? The definition alone I would never want anyone to assume I am so called black. If you were to call me a so called black man I would ask you "who the hell are you talking about?" I straighten out a lot of Caucasians with the same mind set as you because you are ignorant to the fact about the definition and the political status of these ignorant words placed on people.
Commonly used now is Caucasian in its right term and African descent/American is the right term. Now if you think you're white then go get a brand new white dress shirt put it up to your face and see if you're both the same color! And I guarantee you don't even come close to being white.
So please don't try and play dialectic acrobatics with me or Semantics because you will lose every time!
