it works! thanks to spedius and whatsupwithat-- i really had no idea how to ever have an avatar. i was actually too embarassed to admit that, so i always acted like i didnt want one...
now that i know how to do it (i think), im gonna have to play around with some options...anyway, thanks again to all who helped educate me, this is a great forum! Jen A
