2. If you look at the numbers compiled by the US Dept. of Labor, you will see that unemployment was at the time of Obama's inaugeration 7.6% and has since risen to a high of 10.3% by October 2009 before starting to decline to its current 9.3%.
3. 9.3% is 1.7 higher than when he took office.

Obama signed National Defense Authorization Act which gives the military the right to imprison American citizens indefinitely without charge. He said he wouldn't sign it because he had concern about the part where it involves detaining American citizens. Then he signed it on New Years Eve when no one was paying attention. He promises he will never use those powers (as it would be a PR nightmare), but has now opened the doors for future presidents to effectively use martial law. Go Obama! Btw I hate politics and don't follow them and could really care less who's left or right or up or down, but that is one thing Obama has done that is outrageous. </rant> lol
