Bhuddist symbol, yes. Also used by Native Americans, I believe.

I havent googled it but i do believe the Swazi was originally a Hindu symbol...i love the Swazi and im pissed that in this day and age what it represents,but eventually I will get it worked into my ink

It is indeed used by Native Americans, though in an "upright" position, as opposed to the leftward tilt of the German form. Obviously, the meaning is also very different.
