Nope! That's a GOP myth they love to throw around to stir the hate for us libs. And it usually works with the stupid people. But we believe in the 2nd amendment to the Constitution. We liberals have no problem with hunters and law abiding citizens owning guns. We are just sick and tired at how easily and freely aussalt weapons get into the hands of the wrong people.
So always remember. When a republican opens their mouth, have the shovels and deodorizers ready. Because it's gonna rain shit.

I like libs. I live in California, remember? If I couldn't get along well with you guys I wouldn't have any friends at all. I try even harder to make friends with people who think differently as long as they don't look too different.
Re: What Is The Next Gun You Plan On Buying?
I have all the guns I want except for a few custom competition handguns I would like. I'm actually looking into suppressors for most of them now.

Potato gun. Legal in the UK

This is bloody hilarious and shows what happens with an AK47 in the wrong hands albeit the intelligence level between the two parties is probably equal.

What is it about the potential to deal death that so fascinates so many men?
this is a tough debate. I have been a "gun guy" since I was a kid. my dad had them, we'd go shooting at the gun range as a family. I learned how to care for, and respect, firearms. To me it has nothing to do with the potential to deal death. Thats a hightened fanatical view of gun-ownership. Seriously, break it down: you own kitchen knives? Have any big carving knives? whats to stop you from grabbing one and going ape-shit on some poor unsuspecting slobs? own a baseball bat? Have access to a hardware store where they sell iron pipes? how about an automobile? everytime any one of us gets be hind the wheel, we are instantly at the helm of one of the most powerful and most readily available weapons in existence. but nobody sees that inherant view of cars--they are just meant to get us from point a to b. guns were designed to kill, that much is undisputable fact. however, this day and age, guns are for sport, recreation, and defense. it is highly unlikely that 99% will ever need to worry about defense, but it doesn't mean I shouldn't be allowed to have one just in case. I'm betting you never fired a gun, and never experienced the thrill of it. its fun! and it doesn't have to be relegated to "death and destruction" alone.

You can't just adjust for population and expect everything to be all wonderful. There's certain problems that arise out of nothing more than having a population of 300 million people. Illegal weapons and crime are problems endemic to poverty whatever country you goto and it get's exponentially worse as the population rises. Guns have nothing to do with the problem of violence in America. I don't know if you've lived here ever for extended periods of time but you could outlaw weapons in America like the Brady campaign is set on, but it's not going to put fucking dent in the drug trade which we Americans love so much. It's not going to put a fucking dent on the inner city gang violence in East LA, or S Chicago, or San Antonio, or any fucking large city in America. Banning the legal sale of assault rifles won't do a fucking thing, most violent crimes are committed with cheap saturday night specials. If you really wanna lower gun violence in America you should outlaw cheap, spotty weapons so poor drug dealers can't buy them out of the back of chrysler for less than the cost of a good bottle of scotch.
nice :)

Domestic Dispute Ends With Eight Dead
Eight people have been shot dead in the US state of Ohio following what police described as a domestic dispute.
The shooting happened in Copley, around 40 miles south of Cleveland.
The gunman killed five people in one area of the township, before killing two others elsewhere.
His victims included his girlfriend and her brother, along with an 11-year-old child.
One official said the dead also included two high school students.
The shooter was later killed in an exchange of gunfire with officers.
Police have said little about the incident - the gunman's identity has not been disclosed or any speculation on his motive.
They would also not comment on who the victims were or how they were connected.
Copley Police Chief Michael Mier said: "Our job is extremely complicated right now.
"The crime scene is being treated like any other - it's a little unusual in that it is so large and involves multiple locations."
Reports of a person running through the neighborhood and firing a gun prompted calls to police.
"At a home, the gunman shot his girlfriend, ran to a home next door and shot her brother and four others, then chased two people through some yards and shot one of them," a police spokesman said.
"He went into a third home and shot another person before leaving and exchanging gunfire with a police officer and a former police officer."
A woman, who was shot and wounded by the gunman, was taken to hospital, but no details have been released about her injuries or condition.
About 300 people held a prayer vigil for the victims on Sunday evening, many of them high school students.
