People are struggling to pay their mortgages because they did not read the fine print on the mortgage. These people should have never been allowed to purchase a home they knew damn well they could not afford. I saw one woman who makes 37K a year and bought a house worth 700K with no money down. Simple math can tell you that she does not make enough money to purchase that house. She did and now she is struggling to keep it. Why should I help her out of the mess she got herself into. You can blame Bush and rebus all you want. This mortgage mess was started by CLINTON and his stupid fannie mae and freddie mac friends by lowering the standards for people to get credit. Obama talked a good game and know it's time to produce. I can guarantee the country will be no better off with him as president as a matter of fact we will be worse off because he will definetely raise EVERYONES TAXES to pay for social entitlement programs and bigger government. Bullshit progams that just give people money for doing absolutely nothing but sit on their asses watching Jerry Springer collecting welfare. How about going to school and making something of yourself and stop waiting for a handout. I struggled for many years driving a taxi in NYC to put myself thought college and then drove a limo to put myself though medical school while raising a family. I put myself in debt to the tune of 200K to pay fopr medical school and now pay a small mortgage to pay my student loans back. It gets me really angry that people think that I should share my sweat and hard work and be patriotic and pay more taxes for what. For social programs that [eople seem to think that they are entitled to. Plenty of people come here and speak no english and put themselves through school and make something of themselves withpout relying on the government to bail them out. How about getting a JOB. There are plenty of jobs out there, the newspaper is full of them. Stop thinking that the goverment owes you something. They owe you nothing.

The mortgage CRISIS actually started in 2002 when wall street traders started packaging mortgage loans(debt) and reselling them over and over.
That debt was purchased by financial institutions the world over ESPECIALLY europe and japan and china which is why the bailout happened.
If people just lost their homes and loans institutions failed alone we would not be in the mess.
It is because they debt was repackage over and over in a unregulated market and sold abroad.
Thats why there is a WORLDWIDE recession right now.
Wall street singularly are responsible for this crisis.

Hey babe, in case you have not noticed people are NOW in a strugle to pay their mortage, gas, and bills- they don't have to wait to January to do thart. They can thank 8 years of Republican rule, incredible amounts of spending and failed policies greatly for that.

The only conservative aspect of the Republican party TODAY is social policy- the modern Republican conservative party IS NOT the party of Barry Goldwater.
