Re: Looks like backpage is off line
I would like to know how much of the TS escorts are being hurt financially and are now taking less safe ways of meeting customers. Like working the streets or shady bars. I knew a girl that when I would be hanging out with her the phone would not stop, if she was just going to hang out and not go hustle she would pull her ads down and the phone would still blow up. How much has business been down, there are still some sites up for now like EROS, TSEscort and escortbabylon but non have the popularity yet.

That's probably where most of the human trafficking was done. If you've ever been to one of those so called Grand Openings for an Asian massage parlor, you've seen it. Most if not all of the girls are right off the boat. I have no proof, but I'm pretty sure some chinaman paid for these girls to come here and work to pay off the expenses to get them here. Oh, and then there is the interest on the loan to get them here. That debt is endless and will never be able to pay off.
Sounds like human trafficking to me. The only problem is that law enforcement never did anything about it. They just let it happen right under their noses. So our lawmakers pass a bill that makes all the online websites shut down listing these places. The girls and massage parlors are still there. People still go there and get happy endings or sex. The human trafficking continues and out law makers get to take all the credit for stopping human trafficking.
What a joke. Oh, and underage little girls are still getting fucked just as much as ever, you just won't see it online much anymore. So I guess if you just sweep a problem under the rug, that means it's been solved. Woo hoo.

Maybe its time to create appeal some of this FOSTA act. Only sites to survive will be big sites, tell me escorts are not on facebook or twitter. Technically if they can be found on search engine, why are they not liable?

I just checked out bedpage and it was working. I don’t see pics offered though. Only a few of the backpage girls had posted. I just like looking at the pictures mostly and being entertained by the ads and videos which is not to say I never met any of the girls who posted ads. My pastime of perusing ts personals has been going on for about 10 years. In that time I’ve only met 5,6 girls but they were really great, interesting people. There are 3 I still keep in touch with and one has passed away in a car wreck I heard but never confirmed.
I looked forward to reading the ads daily and am miffed they’re gone. Human trafficking isn’t cool though and I understand the reasoning but I think they’re using flawed logic. Like others have posted I believe that it’ll be now harder to catch the perpetrators of such crimes. There are most times unintended consequences of government actions. Prohibition is a prime example.
Doublelist.com is mildly entertaining. Some girls are posting in the M4T as T4M because the actual t4m section is closed for “illegal postings” and is being worked on in order to bring “new features” .

Maybe it's time for new lawmakers.

Because Facebook donates hundreds of millions to both Democrats and Republicans. The big sites will never be touched by this legislation so let’s not be naive as to how our political process works

Looks like a lot of people are using Switter for ads, reviews, etc.
